SapperMedic Posted October 15, 2008 #426 Posted October 15, 2008 Gotta remember to attach
eazyduzzit Posted October 18, 2008 #427 Posted October 18, 2008 Did anyone ever get this? Karen and I were riding with my brother Gary down 11E this morning and I saw this barn. I don't think I remember anyone getting the See Rock City barn yet.
dynodon Posted October 22, 2008 #428 Posted October 22, 2008 Sapper, Not sure that totally qualifies for a "giant" flag, but what the heck, it is on tall pole, and pretty big. I say it is OK, thanks for getting this going again everyone. When you say amusement park ride, can it be a carnival? Most parks won't let you drive in. How about a picture of my bike in front of a neighbors Ford Fiesta, that is almost as wild as an amusement park ride, and a LOT more dangerous! LOL
SapperMedic Posted October 23, 2008 #429 Posted October 23, 2008 Just for clarification, any kinda amusement park ride counts, in the parking lot with the roller coaster in the background, the state fair, county fair. the merry go round at the the grocery store. I made it easy, so we can get this going again Wilkie
MikeM8560 Posted October 23, 2008 #430 Posted October 23, 2008 Sapper, How about a picture of my bike in front of a neighbors Ford Fiesta, that is almost as wild as an amusement park ride, I refered to my Exs fiesta as the clown car
KiteSquid Posted October 24, 2008 #431 Posted October 24, 2008 I would accecpt a car, but it would have to be a Ford Festiva Shogun. http://www.jaylenosgarage.com/images/photos/89Shogun_01.jpg Click-able image to Jay Leno's Garage page on his Ford Fiesta SHOgun.
IH Truck Guy Posted February 7, 2009 #432 Posted February 7, 2009 Just for clarification, any kinda amusement park ride counts, in the parking lot with the roller coaster in the background, the state fair, county fair. the merry go round at the the grocery store. I made it easy, so we can get this going again Wilkie Alright,it looks like we are going to brave the ice on the driveway and take the bike out tomorrow in the 40 degree sunshine. We will be on the lookout for the target.:) Let's try to get this scavenger hunt rolling again... It seems that the northern Venture Riders have to carry this hunt even in the snowy winter wonderland..
halfwitt Posted February 7, 2009 #433 Posted February 7, 2009 IHGuy - Glad you resurrected this. I enjoyed it last year. It looks like Sunday my wife and I will be heading out for the first ride of '09. I think some of the targets were too specific. It needs to be a challenge but not impossible. And we need more participants!!
painterman67 Posted February 7, 2009 #434 Posted February 7, 2009 Thinkn the wife and I are going for a ride tommorow. Carowinds is only about 2 hours away. Who knows. David
IH Truck Guy Posted February 7, 2009 #435 Posted February 7, 2009 Well,as of right now it's 52 degrees..I took my daughter to work and the roads are like rivers..So we are going to pass on riding today... I know, what a wuss....
MikeM8560 Posted February 8, 2009 #436 Posted February 8, 2009 Well if noone gets out and i can get motivated, ive got the county fair just up the road maybe ill take the bike out this week
painterman67 Posted February 8, 2009 #437 Posted February 8, 2009 the pic quality is not all that good but here is me my bike and a 100 foot cable swing ride. You get harnessed in and they take you up . You let the cable release off at your desired hieght and fly like superman. I f the group acepts this then I think the new target should be rather easy. Lets say you your bike and a large body of water. Ie lake, river ocean you get the idea. David
halfwitt Posted February 8, 2009 #438 Posted February 8, 2009 You beat me by 17 minutes! My wife and I did a 100 mile loop up to Hershey Park. Their wooden roller coaster is in the background. Oh well. Next time!!
painterman67 Posted February 8, 2009 #439 Posted February 8, 2009 Yeah we did about 70 in all today, but only about ten of it was to get to the water/amusement park. Been sitting on ready trying to figure out how to find a ride to put my bike in front of when my wife said why dont we go to the water world thingy. Bingo, although we had to explain to security to get in the parking lot. they walked down there with us after I expained it was a scavenger hunt and all I need was a ic. David
halfwitt Posted February 8, 2009 #440 Posted February 8, 2009 Well you win if for no other reason than you got into the parking lot! We couldn't get into Hershey and took the pic from a gas station next door. Funny thing, on the way home there was a place where we had a great view of the mighty Susqehanna River and I was thinking about maybe having the next target be some body of water. Good work!
MikeM8560 Posted February 11, 2009 #441 Posted February 11, 2009 new target should be rather easy. Lets say you your bike and a large body of water. Ie lake, river ocean you get the idea. David now this is just to easy. Maybe ill ride to work tomorow and bring my camera
painterman67 Posted February 11, 2009 #442 Posted February 11, 2009 aint that the idea .Just get out and ride. this thread sat so long i thought I would make it easy to get it going again. Since I posted the last one I'll wait for the next. Oh yea I ride by the city resevoir everyday. David
WilCruise Posted February 11, 2009 #443 Posted February 11, 2009 Does the big puddle of water from partially melted snow in my front yard count as a body of water???
RustyRecycledToy Posted February 11, 2009 #444 Posted February 11, 2009 Does the big puddle of water from partially melted snow in my front yard count as a body of water??? If it's as big as the one in my yard it ought to!

Cerviperus Posted February 24, 2009 #450 Posted February 24, 2009 Bump, Dont tell me nobody else is riding:confused24: get thoose cameras out My bike is currently in a friend's garage, but if I get it back one evening this week (very possible), I can hopefully complete this one. There is a blow sitting in a parking lot not 1/2 mile from my house.
