The Great VR Scavenger Hunt

If you do not have mountains near by I recommend you go find some. They make for great riding. OK lets move on. In the interest of keeping this going, to celebrate Ferrari's 1-2 win at MAGNY-COURS French Grand Prix, YOU, YOUR BIKE, & (a real life size running) FERRARI.

I know a guy named Rick Ferrari. He happens to sell cars at a local dealership. I don't suppose a picture with him would be enough, huh? He is life size and running though.

I really want to win one of these...

I would think so, if Rick was actually running in the photo...............

RR

Get it before the Ferrari and I will accepted as a winner.

Not yet. We are hoping the weather cooperates for us next week. It is looking kind of iffy. Watched some videos of MiniCoopers running up and down Mt. Washington and it looks ...umm... a little interesting.

RR

Sorry RedRider the Ferrari made it in before you.

But do go to Mt. Washington you will not be disappointed.

Be at you best behavior it is a lot more challenging than most think.

It surprised the heck out of me.

The road starts out very innocent a small two lane at times a bit steep. But once you climb pass the tree line things get really interesting. Steep switch backs with no guard rails and a long way down while the temperature is getting lower and the winds are blowing.

here are some of my pictures.

The problem is costume characters are rarely in the parking lot.

Maybe time to reset the goal to something easier. The scavenger hunt will go away if people lose interest because the goal is too hard or too obscure.

As promised previously, we made it to the top of Mt. Washington. I know it is a little late, but here are the pics anyway.

You can't get the bike to the post marker since it is on a pile of rocks, but one pic is our group at the marker, the other is me in the parking lot at the top.

It was a great trip.

Last week going through Maryland I saw a costume roadside waving customers into the parking lot character, By the time I circled the block to get a pic he was gone. I think the problem is that it's so hot inside those costume get ups that they don't stay in the sun very long.

If I every get to pick the target again I'm gonna pick You, Your Bike and the Oscar Mayer Wiener Whistle Vehicle.:rotfl:I saw it in Maryland last week as well.

Too bad this thing is dying. I was having fun with it. I keep my camera in my trunk and look for some sort of mascot wherever I go. I'll keep looking!

WE won't give up.

Somebody will get the target,Just give it some time..

I had the camera ready to take a picture of a mascot at a club, holding up a pole, but some BIG guy took the camera away..:crackup::crackup:

Oh, I'm not giving up. I used to see some poor soul out on the sidewalk in a chicken suit periodically advertising for a fast food joint. Of course, he's not around when I need him. I have some ideas on the next target if I can find something on this one.

A local car dealer has a costume character of a candy bar (Sweet Deals on cars!) LOL

I don't get by there very often, but if I could figure out when they record their big commercial for SAT AM air, I could drop by and irritate them.

I say set a new target, make it easier and get this thing moving again. It was fun to watch and try to plan a picture.

Not to diminish their service, but would a uniformed person or liveried qualify as a costumed person?

I.e.: Police, postal worker, UPS driver, Army, Cost Guard, Air Force, Navy, Marine, National Guard, Doctor, Nurse, Auto Mechanic, Pit Crewman, Race Car Driver, Fast Food Worker, Hooters Girl, etc.......

I ask as I see some of these fine people every day.
