ragtop69gs Posted October 19, 2012 #2126 Posted October 19, 2012 :stirthepot:If the bull has an udder, it's not a bull, it's a cow......and that ain't no BULL. Maybe it's one of them trans-sexual bulls !
Flyinfool Posted October 19, 2012 #2127 Posted October 19, 2012 There are some cows that are supposed to have horns. Some people are under the mistaken impression that only male cattle can have horns, but in cattle as well as some other species both males and females can have them.
van avery Posted October 24, 2012 #2128 Posted October 24, 2012 I think this will be just duckee. I know it a pretty "foul" picture but I think it will work.
dynodon Posted October 25, 2012 #2129 Posted October 25, 2012 Looks good to me Van! If others agree, then what is the next target?
Panjandrum Posted October 25, 2012 #2130 Posted October 25, 2012 Cute ducky! What's next? I can ride today!
van avery Posted October 25, 2012 #2131 Posted October 25, 2012 How about a picture of you your bike and an old time picture pump like this one of the larger hand pump type. Good hunting and enjoy the ride.
dynodon Posted October 25, 2012 #2132 Posted October 25, 2012 You said Picture Pump, could it be an actual pump? or just a picture on a sign? Could it be more of a modern hydrant where it doesn't pump but has a handle? just asking.
van avery Posted October 25, 2012 #2133 Posted October 25, 2012 How about a picture of you your bike and an old time picture pump like this one of the larger hand pump type. Good hunting and enjoy the ride. I miss spelled it. Should have been a "pitcher" pump or a "hand pump" not a picture of a picture.
etcswjoe Posted October 25, 2012 #2134 Posted October 25, 2012 National forest have these in most of the campgrounds. This one is about a 45 mile ride from me. http://scgreatoutdoors.com/photos/park-halfwaycreektrailcamp-photo-01.jpeg
etcswjoe Posted October 28, 2012 #2135 Posted October 28, 2012 (edited) Rode around today and found a primitive campground that had a water pump had to walk a ways to get it, can barley see the bike so I will leave it up to yall. Edited October 28, 2012 by etcswjoe
van avery Posted October 30, 2012 #2136 Posted October 30, 2012 I assume that the bike is the blurr to the left of the pump behind the trees in the second picture. I'll give it to you. I thought about giving extra points originally for finding one that was also a drinking fountain and thats what you found anyway. I haven't seen one of then in quite a while, I grew up in Michigan. So I'll give it to you. Whats the next target?

Cool, it was an interesting find and I had fun looking for it I kept stopping by all this little campgrounds and this one was about 100 yards off the Palmetto trail. You, your bike and a compass rose. I saw several over the weekend so I do not belive it should be too hard of a target. They can be on a sign, on a building , etc.. just needs to be a compass rose. dynodon Posted October 30, 2012 #2138 Posted October 30, 2012 Way to go Joe! Not only got a good pump, but gave us a new and different target.
etcswjoe Posted November 7, 2012 #2139 Posted November 7, 2012 Too hard or Too Cold ?? You, your bike and a compass rose. I saw several over the weekend so I do not belive it should be too hard of a target. They can be on a sign, on a building , etc.. just needs to be a compass rose. dynodon Posted November 7, 2012 #2140 Posted November 7, 2012 I have been looking but haven't found one yet, and it has been a bit cold up my way. Your decision if you want to change it but i would say give it some more time. I thought it was a clever choice. Got some good weather the rest of the week, I will be looking. EDIT! I just googled Compass Rose in Peoria, IL and found one on the riverfront with a street close enough I can get a picture without getting arrested for driving on sidewalks. I can get it in the next day or two. Hurry if anyone wants to beat me! Don
Panjandrum Posted November 7, 2012 #2141 Posted November 7, 2012 Found one! Weather looks good for a ride tomorrow to get it!
dynodon Posted November 8, 2012 #2142 Posted November 8, 2012 OK, Not sure if I will get this in time, but took a nice 50 mile roundtrip ride to Peoria, and got this compass rose on the riverfront, I think you can see the stacks of the paddlewheel "Spirit of Peoria" working paddlewheel boat at dock. They are probably about ready to take it south for the winter. Second picture shows the compass closer. Edit, gosh I look serious, I really was having a good time. And Chris, if you get your picture today, I will be happy to step aside and let you take the lavish prizes for this time, and also set the next target!
Panjandrum Posted November 8, 2012 #2143 Posted November 8, 2012 You got it, Don, and to you go the spoils of picking the next target. Absolutely no complaints about a sunny ride into Vancouver and around Stanley Park for the first time this year! I do live in a beautiful part of the world.
dynodon Posted November 8, 2012 #2144 Posted November 8, 2012 Chris, I was actually waiting to post hoping you would get there first. Nice grab on the picture though, you look a lot happier than I do! I wish I could find a way to get my pictures to show up without a link, any tips? OK, so I thought about this, and for the next target, how about: A Picture of you and your bike AND.......one of those seriously hacked up trees around power or other lines. The ones where they cut most of the tree out, or make it U shaped around the lines. I think something like this should be available in most parts of the country. The weirder the tree the more bonus points. Those that live in the middle of death valley or in a desert may have to sit this one out.

Those that live in the middle of death valley or in a desert may have to sit this one out. Don, for the pictures, click on the paper clip (attachments), and upload the files from your computer. Presto! They appear!!! Do they have to lop big cacti off power lines? That would be good for desert dwellers and definately weird.
dynodon Posted November 8, 2012 #2146 Posted November 8, 2012 testing to see if picture shows up. Tried clicking on paperclip, still uses a linky!
etcswjoe Posted November 9, 2012 #2147 Posted November 9, 2012 Scroll down and manage attachments should post with out a link. Great job on both of you for the compasses roses.
dynodon Posted November 9, 2012 #2148 Posted November 9, 2012 Scroll down and manage attachments should post with out a link. Great job on both of you for the compasses roses. Joe, I appreciate the tip(and complement), but I tried that the first time. This isn't the only forum where I can't get pictures to post, might it have something to do with my browser? I use Firefox.
Freebird Posted November 9, 2012 #2149 Posted November 9, 2012 It is something about the actual picture and I'm not sure what. I saved your picture and tried to upload it and I got the link also. I just opened it again with my picture editor and then without making any changes, just saved it again. Going to attach it now and see what happens.
Freebird Posted November 9, 2012 #2150 Posted November 9, 2012 Obviously it worked that time. I have no idea what is causing that but it's something to do with the way your camera saves the pictures or something.
