eusa1 Posted February 22, 2012 #1776 Posted February 22, 2012 isn't that the bike in the reflection of your glasses??
Flyinfool Posted February 22, 2012 #1777 Posted February 22, 2012 It is starting to sound like I need to start carrying a tripod too now. Shhesh!
playboy Posted February 22, 2012 #1778 Posted February 22, 2012 isn't that the bike in the reflection of your glasses?? Even if it was it wouldn't be right DanOh's reflection in the mirror stem was just as clear
etcswjoe Posted February 23, 2012 #1779 Posted February 23, 2012 Well I got one sort of Got the building and not the Lion I think our cameras just don't like us.
dynodon Posted February 23, 2012 #1780 Posted February 23, 2012 And I have had a lot of nice riding days this last week, but the wife and I have been fighting this flu thing going around (I even go the shot again this year) and its raining today. So maybe this weekend I can get out. Some interesting shots, keep em coming!
playboy Posted February 26, 2012 #1781 Posted February 26, 2012 Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh My Made another stab at it today took along my photographer this time. http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=64549&stc=1&d=1330215963http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=64550&stc=1&d=1330215963http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=64551&stc=1&d=1330215963 http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=64552&stc=1&d=1330215963http://http://www.venturerider.org/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=64553&stc=1&d=1330215963 Had a great ride about 266 miles round trip. DynoDon hope you're feeling better. These were taken at the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler Tx. Well all but the bike found these in downtown Tyler Tx.
Scooter Bob Posted February 26, 2012 #1782 Posted February 26, 2012 Looks like we have a winner! What's next Playboy? Later, Scooter Bob
dynodon Posted February 26, 2012 #1783 Posted February 26, 2012 Playboy, looks like you left nothing to chance this time! GREAT job. and interesting pictures. Yes, what is next. Also, the flu took a hike after a 4 hour midday nap Thursday and I am feeling about 99% today, just in time for a nice nap in front of the TV during the 500.
playboy Posted February 26, 2012 #1784 Posted February 26, 2012 The next target will be a Drive Inn Movie Theater working or not at least a pic of big screen or marque sign. Of course you and the bike must be in pic. Was reading back when this started made it to page 55 and my eyes got sore trying to find something original. I know there getting hard to find around here so good luck.
etcswjoe Posted February 26, 2012 #1785 Posted February 26, 2012 I see a ride to Beaufort in my future.
dynodon Posted February 26, 2012 #1786 Posted February 26, 2012 Don't think there are any screens or any thing of the old outdoor theaters left in my area. So I won't be in this one. Good target though, be interesting to see what is out there.
dynodon Posted February 28, 2012 #1787 Posted February 28, 2012 too late for the hunt, but I promised myself I would get these pictures and post them because the place is so neat. Union IL, about 10 miles North of Lincoln IL. This neat abandoned train station and maybe four houses. No tracks left. Didn't explore inside, but it looks like a solid building. Should be saved somehow.
playboy Posted March 2, 2012 #1788 Posted March 2, 2012 just a bump so folks don't forget were still playing
wideopenrod Posted March 2, 2012 #1789 Posted March 2, 2012 If this is still up for Tuesday, I have a day off scheduled, and seriously need some two wheeled therapy.
etcswjoe Posted March 2, 2012 #1791 Posted March 2, 2012 Closest one to me is Beaufort but weather permitting I will make the trip.
Scooter Bob Posted March 3, 2012 #1792 Posted March 3, 2012 Without using google, I know of one an hour from here. But we're in the middle of only our second real snowstorm of the winter, so I won't be riding for a few days. But...there talkin' 50 some degrees Wednesday! Later, Scooter Bob
ragtop69gs Posted March 3, 2012 #1793 Posted March 3, 2012 The Marquee is still there from one that closed 10 years ago, right up the road from me. There is only one still running films around here and it's 40 miles away.
playboy Posted March 3, 2012 #1794 Posted March 3, 2012 Just something about a drive in movie. They were always fun no matter what the movie was and you had intermission. Now they herd you in like cattle after they strip your wallet at the concession stand. Instead of horns honking if the film broke someones phone is going off or there texting. If the picture show wasn't any good you could fog up the windows if you were lucky. If it was a car load of buddies you better just leave them down so nobody got the wrong idea. Oh and what happen to the double feature.
wideopenrod Posted March 6, 2012 #1795 Posted March 6, 2012 Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Went to this one when I was a kid.. Remember watching "Gremlins". Long closed now sad to say. Added a bonus Cross and view!
wideopenrod Posted March 6, 2012 #1797 Posted March 6, 2012 Cool, completed my first scavenger find! Ok next target, keeping in mind I did not read all 100 some pages to see if this one has been done: You, Your Bike and some form of aviation machine (Airplane, helicopter, jetpack) Rod
Flyinfool Posted March 6, 2012 #1798 Posted March 6, 2012 Does it have to be full size as in many carrying or can it be a flying model?
wideopenrod Posted March 6, 2012 #1799 Posted March 6, 2012 I would say full size as that would lead me to believe you would need to ride to the location, instead of pulling the bike out and the RC model in the yard and snapping a picture.
playboy Posted March 6, 2012 #1800 Posted March 6, 2012 Think he must know you Jeff :rotf:Great job Rod glad your playing now where did I park the lear jet. OH and first gens dont count either.
