The Great VR Scavenger Hunt

Thought with so many people out West in cattle county this would of been tagged real fast.

Next Target: You, Your Bike and Steak House type Restaurant.

Example: Joe's Steak House.

Will be OK if the word Steak is somewhere on the sign or building.

I think we've got it.:D

We found this near the Wisconsin Dells this morning on our way back from vacation.

If Karl likes it, the next target is...

A pic of you and your bike and a playground slide. Not one of those fancy plastic curly types, but an old fashioned steel one. And no, you don't have to ride your bike up it.;)

Happy Hunting, Scooter Bob

Bob, good one. Even with a longhorn on the logo.

Steel slide huh? I was just in the area of an old-fashioned style park yesterday in Arthur, IL darn it! But I got some good old fashioned ice cream so I can't be too bummed out!

won't get to ride till mid week next week, so good hunting till then everyone!

Ya, and it wasn't an easy find. Most every place in WI like that is called a supper club.:scratchchin:

And we've been on so many back roads since leaving Chetek Friday morning that we didn't see many of those either.:D

Never thought a metal slide would be so hard to find. Took a 300 mile ride yesterday North on US-23 along the Lake Huron coast. Parks and road side stops everywhere but none of them had metal slides. Saw slides of every color, shape and description but none of them metal. Even saw one that looked like a Bluegill and one that looked like a penguin and one that looked like a lighthouse but all plastic slides coming out of them. The search continues.

I am going to try closed schools and see if maybe they have some metal ones, public slides are required to be in the shade or covered if they are metal now.

200 miles looking for a slide, got tired :draming:and figured I would let the GPS pick the route home. I put in shortest and the first turn in a neighborhood there it was.:shock3: I guess if you stop looking you will find.

Let me know if this works and I will set the next target, I have a mean idea:lightbulb:

Ya, the steakhouse was furthest from my mind as we were last leg towards home after 8 days on the road. :no-no-no:

I saw the sign, checked mirrors real quick, got on the brakes pretty hard, took the left into the parking lot, and stopped.:D

Karen's all worried, and says "what's the matter?":confused24:

Then she looked over her shoulder and said never mind.

Works for me. :thumbsup2:

What's next Joe??:confused24:

Ok, here we go I want a picture of you, your bike and a sign with the temperature  on it however here is the catch since this is a fairly easy target the winner will be the person with the highest temperature out of three or two weeks whichever is quickest. :080402gudl_prv:

Sure enough! Heat wave just broke, we're not supposed to get above 80 for the next week!

But I may do something kinda like this for a target next winter, only COLDEST! Lol

Later, Scooter Bob

Wouldn't ya know it, I just went almost 700 miles into the Upper Peninsula before I found a slide, then 800 miles home just to find that someone beat me to it! :bang head::bang head::bang head: We did have a great ride though.

On to the next target. :big-grin-emoticon:

Well, I'll get this started. I took this pic on the way to work this morning.

Since I can't win the hottest temp, I thought maybe I could get a beer for the coldest.:beersign:

I'm actually a little disappointed, the sun pushed the temp up 6 degrees from what we had at home.:(

Who's next?, Scooter Bob

It's been 8 months since it got down to 61 here, I think you do deserve a beer for that.
