5 Buck Kanuck Posted January 21, 2015 #1 Posted January 21, 2015 Ok here is my question: I have an extra 1500$ I want to spend on my 07 Midnight Venture. Remember I am in Canada so things will be more money. I am only 15 Miles from the U.S A so I can still get so stuff cheaper. I have a Light Bar/Upgraded speakers/Amp. What would you buy ????????
ReinyRooster Posted January 21, 2015 #2 Posted January 21, 2015 I would ride up to Kitchener and buy pizza and beer for all my Venture friends in that area........:rotf:
SilvrT Posted January 21, 2015 #3 Posted January 21, 2015 Send me the $1500, I'll buy "what I would buy", and send it to ya .... (well, somebody had to say that)
SilvrT Posted January 21, 2015 #4 Posted January 21, 2015 Seriously tho, passing lamps would be a good start ... leveling links another, maybe a Car Tire .... trunk rack, ...
Freebird Posted January 21, 2015 #5 Posted January 21, 2015 The top items for me would be KuryAkyn offset highway pegs, riders backrest, passing lamps, saddlebag guard rails.
XV1100SE Posted January 21, 2015 #6 Posted January 21, 2015 Message SlowRollWV... he makes a lot of stuff for the Venture - carb covers, fork wind deflectors, twinkie cover, horn mounts, clutch bleeder cover..... CarbonOne makes a horn mount, engine guard braces, lift adapter..

SilvrT Posted January 21, 2015 #8 Posted January 21, 2015 one more thing... a Wolo BAD Boy horn or FIAAM air horn or similar
Sailor Posted January 21, 2015 #10 Posted January 21, 2015 Air horn...loud. Tachometer, oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge. Bacon cheese burger and beer.
SilvrT Posted January 21, 2015 #11 Posted January 21, 2015 Air horn...loud. Tachometer, oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge. Bacon cheese burger and beer. add some Sailor Jerry (no pun intended) rum and a rack of ribs!
kantornado Posted January 22, 2015 #12 Posted January 22, 2015 I have added a lot of stuff but the one I think is the best and gets the most complements from people (after they say WOW) is eusa1 "the diamond cut guy" for the heads. The other is a loud horn. That's what I would do if I was you.
Flyinfool Posted January 22, 2015 #13 Posted January 22, 2015 I would say buy a gas card and start chasing the front wheel till the card is used up.
Rick Haywood Posted January 22, 2015 #14 Posted January 22, 2015 Diamond cut fins. One of the best improvemen's to the rsv. Also heated jacket. If you ride 2 up Diamond r passenger highway pegs $400 diamond cuts $250 heated coat $275 diamond r pegs $925 total. Money left over for chRome carb covers and twinkle covers
cowpuc Posted January 22, 2015 #15 Posted January 22, 2015 I would say buy a gas card and start chasing the front wheel till the card is used up. Stop with the mind reading business already!!!!!
stickhandle2 Posted January 22, 2015 #16 Posted January 22, 2015 I have added a lot of stuff but the one I think is the best and gets the most complements from people (after they say WOW) is eusa1 "the diamond cut guy" for the heads. The other is a loud horn. That's what I would do if I was you. Yup........ Diamond cuts.........they look reel purdy The pizza and beer sounds good too for the Venture friends
XV1100SE Posted January 22, 2015 #18 Posted January 22, 2015 ... If you ride 2 up Diamond r passenger highway pegs... Second that. Makes it very comfortable for the passenger
XV1100SE Posted January 22, 2015 #19 Posted January 22, 2015 What's this lift adapter? Lift adapter mounts to the bottom of the bike so that when you use a lift, it clears the exhaust and anything else. Get the lift from Larry (CarbonOne) with legs so you can store the bike raised during the winter.
Chaharly Posted January 22, 2015 #20 Posted January 22, 2015 The top items for me would be KuryAkyn offset highway pegs, riders backrest, passing lamps, saddlebag guard rails. Definitely would recommend those saddlebag guard rails. Also going to be the first bit of safety chrome for my bike!
2WHEELSFORME Posted January 22, 2015 #21 Posted January 22, 2015 Taller/longer handle bars that will also require SS braided lines. A good GPS unit like a Zumo. More lighting in the rear like under the trunk. Your next set of new tires, I keep them ready and already mounted on an extra set of rims. Aftermarket pipes. Gerbin heated gear.
Flyinfool Posted January 22, 2015 #22 Posted January 22, 2015 Stop with the mind reading business already!!!!! Is this a case of great minds think alike, OR are you starting to become more like me....... I still think Puc and I have the best idea. That's why I said get a gas card, Puc would spend it on stickers.......
KAWoodworth Posted January 22, 2015 #23 Posted January 22, 2015 If you don't already have it I would recommend the VMAX rear gears swap and the DTNA 3000 TCI. They were two of the best mods I've done to my 2007 RSV.
BARKEEP1956 Posted January 22, 2015 #24 Posted January 22, 2015 I have to say that of all the extras that I have added to my RSV, the Utopia Back rest is #1 on my list!. Just sayin
cowpuc Posted January 22, 2015 #25 Posted January 22, 2015 Is this a case of great minds think alike, OR are you starting to become more like me....... I still think Puc and I have the best idea. That's why I said get a gas card, Puc would spend it on stickers....... I think we do too Fool!! It would be fun to strap the tent on the bike, stuff those 15 pieces of paper with Benjamin Franklin's face in on em in a pocket and see how many Meet n Greets and Maintenance Days one could make before the cash ran out!! And about those stickers Fool,, sometimes ya can get em free at Welcome Centers if ya ask real nice,,, even easier if the person asking is a good looking feller with a beard!!
