1BigDog Posted March 23, 2008 #1 Posted March 23, 2008 Since I cant afford the Flanders mod at this time I just installed the Barons risers instead. Just got back from a test ride and man, what a difference. Im getting ready to put some mileage on them now to really see how they are. Im not too crazy about them touching the ignition cover but its really not too much of an issue since I run the black one. It also would have been nice if they were chromed, but what the hey..... Big test will be next weekend...600 mile trip to West Palm Beach.
Chief2756 Posted March 23, 2008 #2 Posted March 23, 2008 I installed the Baron risers and Star bar this morning and had to reroute the throttle cables. Now my throttle will not roll back on it's own. Did you have similar issues? Thanks, Chief
hayes Posted March 23, 2008 #3 Posted March 23, 2008 I instaled the Baron risers a couple of months ago. Now I'm in a much more relaxed position. Instead of leaning forward with my arms stiff I ride with alittle bend in my elbows and feel more relaxed. I just installed the risers and didn't have to reroute the cables. I just released them from the clip that ties them to the handle bars and pulled to get alittle slack from under the gas tank. Wouldn't know about with the Flanders handlebars. Sorry. But you will like the risers if your thinking about them. Dennis
hayes Posted March 23, 2008 #4 Posted March 23, 2008 Now I see you asked about Star Bars. Don't know about them either.
1BigDog Posted March 24, 2008 Author #5 Posted March 24, 2008 Did a 100 mile ride today with the Barons risers. Much better than stock. No shoulder pain and a much more relaxed position. I had to take off some tension and gave the cables a tug or two to give me a bit more slack but they dont bind now.
