gorski Posted December 27, 2014 #1 Posted December 27, 2014 Hey All, PO of my bike has installed a set of Kuryakyn Iso grips, feel ok but seam very big. Is there a grip that is thinner? I have the originals as well, not sure if they can be reused. Is there a trick to getting the right side off, nothing listed in the repair manual, only the left side...Thanks
aharbi Posted December 30, 2014 #2 Posted December 30, 2014 Grips aren't hard to replace. How do the originals feel? The right side is the throttle side and just slides off after removing the end bar weight and split the switch housing. Pending how the grip was installed usually a long screw driver and hot hair dryer/blower will loosen the glue as you slowly work it around the bar. Check the inside of the original left grip to see if its too badly torn up to reinstall.
gorski Posted December 30, 2014 Author #3 Posted December 30, 2014 Thanks, Have re-installed the original grips and they feel much better for me, install was not bad, although I did break both old grips taking them off. You-tube video was a big help..
aharbi Posted January 1, 2015 #4 Posted January 1, 2015 Just curious, did ya use glue or hairspray to remount the grips?
