Flyinfool Posted December 24, 2014 #1 Posted December 24, 2014 I am one of those that is spending Christmas Eve at work (surfing the web) while the rest of my family is eating and laughing and opening presents. But at least I was mean enough to not deliver my stuff ahead of time. All of those that are getting stuff from me will have to wait until I am there.
Prairiehammer Posted December 24, 2014 #2 Posted December 24, 2014 If you consider being a Peon at 'Retired.com' working, then I am working Christmas Eve.
Motorcycle Mike Posted December 24, 2014 #3 Posted December 24, 2014 Working today and Christmas day too. You would think after 28 years on the job I'd have enough senority to get holidays off.
etcswjoe Posted December 24, 2014 #4 Posted December 24, 2014 Worked most of the day took off an hour early.
Ben Rollins Posted December 24, 2014 #5 Posted December 24, 2014 Working as well, But then off until Tuesday. Guess I can't complain.
MiCarl Posted December 24, 2014 #6 Posted December 24, 2014 I'm the boss so I can work or close up and spend the day with the in-laws (Christmas day with the in-laws is mandatory). I decided I had too much work to spend 2 days with the in-laws.
tufftom4 Posted December 24, 2014 #7 Posted December 24, 2014 I am a waste-water treatment plant operator and I find people never stop pooping or taking showers so I am at work now but I get lots of overtime.
Barrycuda Posted December 24, 2014 #8 Posted December 24, 2014 I spent all day at work today and will do so again tomorrow.
uncledj Posted December 24, 2014 #9 Posted December 24, 2014 I've 3 days paid time off to use up, so I'm taking today, Friday and New years Eve off. I generally don't work holidays, nor do I get paid for them. And only one week vacation to boot, but I can't complain. I can take time off without pay whenever I want, (even on short notice) and make a decent buck.
OrlinEngh Posted December 24, 2014 #10 Posted December 24, 2014 This is the first year in 5 years that I will get to spend the afternoon and evening at home, All I had to do this morning was take a ride in the truck and sand the hills and then home for the rest of the day. Orlin
