Whats the best way?

What's the best way to get the unleaded fuel sticker off the top of the gas tank without leavin any goop from the sticker or damaging the paint?. Someone told me w-d 40 but I figure I'de better ask b4 I take the paint off my tank!.

WD40 worked for me. Just spray it on, and wipe it clean.

The dealership told me to use a blow dryer. Heat it a little, start peeling it up and keep the heat on it while you are doing it. Worked very well for me.

Yep the hair dryer method, then wipe it clean with a shot of WD40, that clean up all the residue, lealn a nice shine and wont hurt the paint............
