Reminder: NO POLITICS

Don't know what has happened over the past few days but I guess it's time for a reminder about the few rules that we have here.

 

NO POLITICS

NO PORNOGRAPHY

NO PERSON ATTACKS

NO RELIGIOUS DEBATE

 

Those are the main ones. I have said it before but it doesn't hurt to repeat it. This is a family oriented site. It is hard to rate such things but I would say that if used a movie type rating, "PG" is probably where it would fall.

 

This site is based on friendships and the shared passion for motorcycles. It is about what unites us, NOT those things that might tear us apart.

 

I realize that there are things going on it the world that are of interest to many of us. There are things that we should be able to discuss on a technical basis without turning it into a political debate. The discussion on fracking is one of those things. So far, it has remained fairly technical and non-political but it has the potential of going south. If that happens, it will be deleted.

 

There was another thread about Cuba. That is almost a purely political topic and has been deleted.

The Cuba one was mine and I can see where that could have went even though I meant it as a joke regarding acquiring cigars. Figured we had a few cigar smokers on here that would get a kick out of it. Won't happen again.

You didn't miss much Dan.... it was a stripped down 2nd Gen... not much to look at...one of those " gotta get that picture out of my mind" types.

Actually Ang,,, I would encourage you to rethink that "wont happen again" thingy.. I was one of the respondents in that thread who helped push it over the edge in the politics thingy - sometimes my (and others) goes to far, and thats when our VR family peace keeping Law Enforcement has to step in and get us back on track - doing their job (gotta be a tough one),, keepin us upright... It was obvious from the git-go what you were referring to with the thread - you did no wrong and meant nothing bad.. That said, you cant control the direction any thread is gonna go at any given time, IMHO - that is why we gotta have Moderators and a Bossman...

Personally Don ...I think it really sucks. This has to be at least the third time ( at least that I am aware of) that you have deleted a post before I even got to see what all the fuss was about.

Seems I always miss out on all the fun ones.

All kidding aside Don I like many others think you do a great job. It would not be the first time that either a thread or even a face to face conversation have taken a wrong or miss stepped turn, got out of hand and severed even some of the best and longstanding friendships. No debate is worth that.
