Freebird Posted December 17, 2014 #1 Posted December 17, 2014 You will notice that I added back the "similar threads" feature that we had before the site upgrade. Let me know if this is a feature that you like or don't like. I can easily remove it if most of you find it more obtrusive than helpful.

Oh wait you said Obtrusive not obtuse. Never mind!
eagleeye Posted December 17, 2014 #3 Posted December 17, 2014 I definitely like it. Especially if I do a search for something and then I can see other threads that might be helpful. I don't think that it is obtrusive at all. Bubber, Bubber, Bubber, what are we going to do with you?

Motiv Posted December 18, 2014 #6 Posted December 18, 2014 This forum now has more gizmos than a Mercedes, will need a user's manual!
Freebird Posted December 18, 2014 Author #7 Posted December 18, 2014 I'm working on the service manual as hard as I can.
Freebird Posted December 18, 2014 Author #9 Posted December 18, 2014 NO...I am NOT a tinkler. I always get to the restroom in time and I don't appreciate the implication that... oh.....TINKERER....uh....never mind.
Freebird Posted December 18, 2014 Author #10 Posted December 18, 2014 By the way....I've been working on the "owners manual" for a couple of days now. Very likely a long term project but it has started. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/forum223/
baylensman Posted December 19, 2014 #11 Posted December 19, 2014 the one function I miss the most was the old TODAYS POSTS and NEW POST buttons
Freebird Posted December 19, 2014 Author #12 Posted December 19, 2014 You people are making me old and gray. Those features are still here. At the top of the page is a large menu bar that says "What's New, Articles, Forum....etc. Just below that is a small menu bar and the very first button on the left is "New Posts". Then in that same menu bar....7th from the left, is a drop down menu titled "Quick Links". The first item in that drop down menu is "Today's Posts". Then at the right end is another drop down menu titled "My Search Links". Look at that one also. It contains links to your posts, your threads, unanswered posts, etc. It's all here folks. Explore my friends, explore.
Venturous Randy Posted December 19, 2014 #14 Posted December 19, 2014 The thing about similar threads is someone will pull up a seven year old thread and take off with it again and here we go. RandyA
Yammer Dan Posted December 20, 2014 #15 Posted December 20, 2014 I definitely like it. Especially if I do a search for something and then I can see other threads that might be helpful.
