I am a MSF instructor and I need a waterproof boot that I can stand and walk in for eight hours. What do you recommend up to $150? I don't care if they are not motorcycle boots since most of the time I will be just wearing them on the range.

Great answer, Allan!

I always go first to New Enough (especially the Closeout section) when I am looking for gear. Aside from great prices, they provide exceptional Customer Service. If you can't find what you are looking for, check back again soon, because they move a lot of merchandise through that department. Additionally, they are very fairly-priced in all other areas of their online store.

I would got with a gotex hunting boot. I bought some for duck hunting that are waterproof, warm and comfortable at Sportsman's warehouse.

They have a 1500gm Thinsulate lining that is rated for cold temps.

They were about $180.00 but they had some in about the $150.00 range as well. Cabela's would have them as well.

Try Rocky Hunting Boots. They have different insulating levels, are waterproof and are very comfortable for wearing all day long. Not cheap but in the $ 150.00 price range.

:2cents:I wear the Tour Master WP Solutions. They are water proof but let your feet breath. I wear mine all day at work when I ride (which is most of the time) and they are very comfortable. :2132:

You'll not find a more comfortable boot than Doc. Martins they even look like motorcycle boots I have the 8" and (had 'em 2 years) they will be my next work boot. I'll buy another pair for riding

Those are very good boots.. I found them a few years ago and use two pair a year. I used to buy Danner work boots.....or RedWing, or some other expensive boot.....they seldom lasted me for a year and they got to where they cost up to 300 dollars. I am tough on work boots.......wet.....mud....welding.....using my feet as a rake covering a ditch.......standing in water for six hours.......wading in the mud......

The very comfortable and nice fitting Commander from Walmart is just as good a boot as the expensive ones.....last me just as long......I suspect if used only as a riding boot and taken care of......they are easy a ten year boot.........for $40 bucks......Yep I agree......they are a good and comfortable boot.
