ragtop69gs Posted December 6, 2014 #1 Posted December 6, 2014 Looks to be a nice day tomorrow so any Detroit area riders up for a nice mid day fall ride?
pbjman Posted December 6, 2014 #2 Posted December 6, 2014 I'm a wannabe definate maybe. What do you have in mind?
ragtop69gs Posted December 6, 2014 Author #3 Posted December 6, 2014 No plan other than to get a few miles in. Maybe we could meet up for lunch somewhere. Almont or Imlay City both are about equal distance for both of us. Restaurant or bar for some grub at about 1pm.
eagleeye Posted December 7, 2014 #4 Posted December 7, 2014 I have to ask about the NO SALT part. Here the roads will be white for many months to come. But It was a beautiful day here too and I did think about taking a bike out for a ride. Cold, but nice! It would have to be the chopper.
ragtop69gs Posted December 7, 2014 Author #5 Posted December 7, 2014 My bike is on a salt free diet, I have no means to wash it down now that all the hoses are drained and put away for the winter. No snow here to warrant road salt, Jeff's snow machine must be pointed straight up and only falling on you guys.

That might be doable; I'll pm you tomorrow about 11am or give me your number so I can text you
Flyinfool Posted December 7, 2014 #8 Posted December 7, 2014 Around here they are doing preemptive salt strikes. They have tanker trucks spraying the clean dry roads with a salt/water mix. Supposedly that is so that the salt will just sit there waiting for some snow. Since you miss snow so much I'll have to see what I can do to get you guys some snow.
ragtop69gs Posted December 7, 2014 Author #9 Posted December 7, 2014 Miss the snow Are you sure the doctors didn't damage your brain cells? I miss the warm summer day's, but never If you shoot your machine this way I'll be forced to take retaliatory measures such as turning your back yard into a swamp come spring, then you'll need a pontoon boat get your bike out of the shed.
pbjman Posted December 7, 2014 #10 Posted December 7, 2014 Was the pm supposed to be for me ? Didn't get one.
ragtop69gs Posted December 7, 2014 Author #11 Posted December 7, 2014 Was the pm supposed to be for me ? Didn't get one. sent it, don't know what happened. Let's ride.

ragtop69gs Posted December 7, 2014 Author #14 Posted December 7, 2014 Just rolled into the Garage, Well, it was a good ride with Adventurer08 , pbjman's bike was dumping fuel so we went by to try & help. Turns out the seal in the fuel pump has failed, never seen that one before. Maybe next time Jim
pbjman Posted December 7, 2014 #15 Posted December 7, 2014 Ya thanks for coming by guys. It was good to meet some VR's for the first time! I really wanted to ride today but the fuel pump had other plans. Here's John and Jay on the street in front of my house:
