GB373 Posted March 22, 2008 #1 Posted March 22, 2008 I want to install Custom Dynamics LED turn signal clusters front and rear but have a problem with the flasher options. The options available both have down sides I want to avoid; load equalizers get very hot and limit the use of 4 way flashers or replacing the flasher unit with their version eliminates the self cancelling feature of the bike's turn signals. Anyone know of another option?
stardbog Posted March 22, 2008 #2 Posted March 22, 2008 I Have Custom dinamic 1.85" cluster installed on my bike. Flashing rate is little faster, but that doesen bother me. Turn signal Cancelation works same as before. My suggestion is do not install load equilizer , what he does is make same power consuption as stock bulbs. My main reason for switching to LED'ds are to preserv some power for my heated clothing. four way emergency flasher works well with LED's too. I Wouldn't waiste money for turn signal module or load EQ. Just My 2c.
RPG Posted March 22, 2008 #3 Posted March 22, 2008 I used a relay to my led signals. I connected from my signal relay switch (inside the front faring)to the relay trigger then to the led signals from that using a separate pos. and then leds to ground. You need 1 relay for left turn and one for right turn. My self cancell works correctly and the leds reach max. brightness as they are not sharing voltage with the standard signal bulbs. Works great for me!

And everything still works.
