BlueSky Posted December 2, 2014 #12 Posted December 2, 2014 Didn't I read that a 4.7 earthquake happened 12 km from Sedona?

KIC Posted December 2, 2014 #14 Posted December 2, 2014 ...There was plenty of room, but due to a certain border issue from our President of Socialism, it's getting pretty crowded.... fast.... and after spending the last 4 days with that white crap on the ground in Indiana, we flew back to the sunshine and the wife and I got home from the airport, jumped on the bike and went to get some Mexican shrimp tacos... and "forgot" to wear our jackets... Why don't you guys keep the ice in the freezer where it belongs ?? I love our Arizona Global Warming, I mean climate change... I mean winter temps.. Any other political lines I can push ??

It's easy to spot the out of towners at work, they're the only crazies running around wearing shorts and t-shirts. Seriously, who does that when it's only 70 degrees out:confused07: Honestly, after 2 months below 0 like I dealt with last winter in Minnesota I remember dressing pretty light when it hit 40 which was the final straw for me and I moved back to a sane environment. Now I get to have fun with those who still choose to live there.
Angelo Posted December 3, 2014 Author #16 Posted December 3, 2014 Didn't I read that a 4.7 earthquake happened 12 km from Sedona? I had no idea what you were talking about until my wife made a comment about it, too far for me to worry about. Only "natural disaster" we worry about here is extreme heat and monsoons when they hit real hard.
Yammer Dan Posted December 3, 2014 #17 Posted December 3, 2014 Don't you guys have some pretty nasty dust storms at times?? Or is that just in the Westerns??
cowpuc Posted December 3, 2014 #18 Posted December 3, 2014 Don't you guys have some pretty nasty dust storms at times?? Or is that just in the Westerns?? And my Spanglish sucks..... Dan, I have a room and plenty of ammo for you anytime ! I live in the east side of Tucson, we keep it safe and ride faster than the criminals that dare to venture here. tucson_sailors Posted December 3, 2014 #21 Posted December 3, 2014 (edited) Don't you guys have some pretty nasty dust storms at times?? Or is that just in the Westerns?? Yup, but seasonal. There is an area between Tucson and Phoenix on I-10 that is pretty notorious for it happening. Best advice is watch the weather and if its starting to look nasty, get off of the roads. There is plenty of time to ride after it clears up. As a callow youth with a GL1000 as my primary transport I rode in all sorts of rotten weather down here. Now, I would find a quick place to hole up, and wait for it to be over. $.02 Glenn in Tucson Edited December 3, 2014 by tucson_sailors

tucson_sailors Posted December 3, 2014 #23 Posted December 3, 2014 I thought about visiting Kic one of these days but after member got robbed close to border not sure if I could carry enough ammo. And my Spanglish sucks..... Well, we're about 60 miles north of the border. You're closer in El Paso or San Diego when travelling. Closest place that most folks would travel through down here is Yuma, AZ on I-8 on the way to San Diego. There are some seriously sketchy spots further south like Nogales, etc., but in all, we have lots of wide open space, and most of the year is pretty good riding weather. Lot of nice pretty rides on back highways. Glenn in Tucson
Yammer Dan Posted December 3, 2014 #24 Posted December 3, 2014 From what I've herd of those storms it would be time to hide.
