5 Buck Kanuck Posted November 30, 2014 #3 Posted November 30, 2014 I know what you are going through I have had 4 shoulder surgeries and the weather changes are a birch. I found out that a moist heating pad worked the best the dry ones did not work very well. also sitting up in my lazy boy was the best. Best of luck
Huggy Posted November 30, 2014 #4 Posted November 30, 2014 Ya the weather really gets me at times!!!! I really feel it in my right shoulder!!! Especially when there's BAD weather coming. It starts about three days before it gets here and the worse the weather/bigger the change the worse the pain is. And I try not to take anything for the pain if I can avoid it!!!!!
kevin-vic-b.c. Posted November 30, 2014 #5 Posted November 30, 2014 Only recommendation I can come up with is to find an Acupuncturist. Some think it is an odd thing but when it comes to pain I know it works on shoulders. Couple years back I could not sleep for the shoulder pain.... medical Dr. wanted to operate..... acupuncture made the pain go away. It works
Marcarl Posted November 30, 2014 #6 Posted November 30, 2014 Massage works for me, but it needs to be more than just a nice rubbing,,,, but then I don't have REAL shoulder pain like some.
Huggy Posted November 30, 2014 #8 Posted November 30, 2014 Jim Beam!!!! OR...............Crown Royal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Howard B Posted November 30, 2014 #10 Posted November 30, 2014 There's three guys I know that can help with pain, Jim, Jack, and my favorite, Mark. After my accident last summer (not on the bike) my shoulders and neck have bothered me. Turns out I have arthritis in my spine.C-5 and 6. The accident just brought it out. They decided not to repair the Park Service truck I was driving. Sorry, your taxes will have to buy a new truck for whoever takes over my job. We decided not to go back next year and we will tour New England instead. Hope to see some of you as we will travel from L.A. across the southern states towards Florida then as it warms up , north to Maine. Then back towards the west coast as the weather cools. Looking forward to the trip.

Every passing season takes me farther and farther away from the ability to enjoy the snow (I LOVED snowmobiling, hunting, ice racing bikes) because of what your talking about... I used to shake my head and wonder about friends who were "snowbirds".. Now I find myself saying to Tippy,,, NOW I GET IT!! Maybe we ought to have an all out attack on Phoenix or Tampa or something?? PRAYERS UP AND BLESSINGS DOWN FOR YOU RB!!
BlueSky Posted December 1, 2014 #12 Posted December 1, 2014 Ibuprofen is the most effective pain killer for me if it isn't a nerve causing the pain such as sciatica pain. Nothing seems to help sciatica.
