The weather has held off for just a little longer (sorry Buffalo) here in Salt Lake, so, we decided to ride 60 miles to the south for lunch at one of our favorite spots - The Family Tree in Santaquin, UT.

It was 55+ during the entire ride down and back. There was a bit of wind but still had a wonderful time. Super slab on the way down so we would be on time to meet up with Pegasus1300 and Juan but then enjoyed the back roads on the way home.

I guess I'm about ready to accept the winter is coming.....I do like having water during the summer months.

It was so great to be with you and Jan today even though we didn't get ride very far together. Scones at Family Tree are always great and the company even better.Although I know we need the water I am not really ready for the snow and cold

Wayyyyy cool UT!!

Quick question for ya,, you guys ever try the "Top Spot"? Little burger joint south of right off the ick-spress way.. I cant remember the name of the town it was it in,, I know its not to far from the Northern Zion NP right off 15 and right on the road that goes across to Area 51.... Anyway,,, GREAT burgers and really really nice folks (kept their doors open just to feed us!!)

I haven't tried the Top Stop. I looked it up and found it in Cedar City, Utah. I've eaten numerous times in Cedar City....I'll have to add it to the list of places to check out. Cedar City is a special little town and home to the Shakespeare Festival if you're ever down that way again.

Yes I have eaten there several times if we are talking about the one in Cedar City UT. Good people and great food, but a long way from Area 51 tho maybe the road going West out of town goes by there. We were in Cedar in Sept. for the TrikeTalk.Com Western Rally. Just a little South on I15 is Kolob Canyon, which gives you a different view of Zion's and then the turn off for Zion's is a little further South of that.

I want to go out riding this week also as I am off work. The problem is someone sent us a cold front and it is still only -3*C (27*F).... kinda chilly for a long ride

That's why God gave us warm clothes.
