PBJ Posted November 23, 2014 #1 Posted November 23, 2014 Here some pictures of my fiances new to her 1981 honda GL500 Silverwing. The bike is a liquid cooled V twin with shaft drive. It has the removable trunk with an extra seat and removable saddlebags. After starting out on her REBEL 250 SHE QUICKLY REALIZED IT WASN'T BIG ENOUGH. Hopefully we'll both be at Big Tom's WNY rally in August if not sooner. Carol was known as tailfeather here a couple of years agao.
PBJ Posted November 25, 2014 Author #2 Posted November 25, 2014 Well with 60 degree weather carol was up early and out right after breakfast to get in her first ride on the Silver wing. it started right up and she started with a few laps around the fire hall to get used the bikes weight. The bike handled well. Carol felt it was a little top heavy but she'll get used to that as she rides more. She let me take it out for a few laps and it steers heavy until you get it up to a higher speed then it lightens right up. Afterwards we hit the road for a quick ride. but high winds got us back early.
