Venturous Randy Posted November 22, 2014 #1 Posted November 22, 2014 I want to switch the bulbs to LED's and was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on the best way to go. I have heard that some are not happy with the brightness of some bulbs they have tried. I know there are entire light assemblies, but I was hoping to stay with the the same housings that I have. MikeWa Posted November 22, 2014 #2 Posted November 22, 2014 Go to Super Bright LED's and see what is avaliable. Mike
Snaggletooth Posted November 28, 2014 #3 Posted November 28, 2014 +1 on the Super Bright LED site. Been using them as a source for a fews year now for my bike and several others, cars and trailers and about any other application I can plug them into. Of all the lights I've purchased from them only had one fail and they replaced that at no charge. Great products and better customer serve than I've seen with other companies. They offer a wide range of bulbs for each application for light intensity and array pattern for what your need is not to mention the tech info on each bulb so you can be sure it will fit where you want it to. The bulbs I used in the lightbar and bumper on my '84 have been in there about 3.5 years now without failure at that's a tough place for bulbs.
Venturous Posted November 28, 2014 #4 Posted November 28, 2014 Are you sure they aren't already LED? I thought they were. Have to double check.
Venturous Posted November 28, 2014 #5 Posted November 28, 2014 Oh, must be a change they made the last few years. Here is one place to maybe upgrade them... http://www.cyclematetrailers.com/page/page/5936288.htm
