uthpda Posted March 21, 2008 #1 Posted March 21, 2008 Well, I was just wondering through the local Wally World and was amazed to see on the shelf...SEAFOAM! I am pleased that they are carrying this wonder stuff! I have never seen it there before, so this might be a new addition. Thought I would share my find! So for those of you that have ask where to find it...check Walmart.
hipshot Posted March 21, 2008 #2 Posted March 21, 2008 i saw it locally , yesterday, at wally world. $5.49 a can! just jt
mini-muffin Posted March 21, 2008 #3 Posted March 21, 2008 Our Wally world has it too now. I just never get too excited in case they change their mind. Maybe it's all of them now so hopefully ours can't stop selling it. Margaret
Joopster55 Posted March 21, 2008 #4 Posted March 21, 2008 Does anyone know if SeaFoam is available in Canada?
sarges46 Posted March 21, 2008 #5 Posted March 21, 2008 Does anyone know if SeaFoam is available in Canada? Yes it is, Napa has it here in Manitoba. I wouldnt buy it in Canada though...here its about 14 bucks a can. I can do a quick run across the border (any excuse for a ride) and get it for about 4-6 bucks. I usually stock up when across for any reason. I buy 4-6 cans at a time or my bud will bring me some whenever he visits home...eh Russell.
MasterGuns Posted March 21, 2008 #6 Posted March 21, 2008 Four to six cans. How much does the experts on this site recommend Sea Foam be used I wonder? I have used it only once in my VR and that has been it. Should I be blending it in more often than whenever a problem is encountered and needs clean out? Just curious.
sarges46 Posted March 21, 2008 #7 Posted March 21, 2008 i use half a can every 10 fills or so. We also have two bikes so it adds up quickly (the usage). I am no expert but some use a little with every fill some less.
Freebird Posted March 21, 2008 #8 Posted March 21, 2008 I use one full can to a tank of gas. Once in the spring and then a can to a full tank of gas before I park it for the winter.
1BigDog Posted March 21, 2008 #9 Posted March 21, 2008 before I park it for the winter. Hmmmm, somehow I dont understand that concept........:whistling::stirthepot:
GeorgeS Posted March 21, 2008 #10 Posted March 21, 2008 Hmmmm, somehow I dont understand that concept........:whistling::stirthepot: You don't have to, just do it !!! Its the right thing to do !!!
Midnight Rider Posted March 21, 2008 #11 Posted March 21, 2008 It may be the right thing to do but some people don't park there bike for winter........... Dale
GigaWhiskey Posted March 22, 2008 #12 Posted March 22, 2008 Seafoam and Shell gas, what a wonderful pair!
robertbob Posted March 22, 2008 #13 Posted March 22, 2008 We in Texas don't park our bike very offen. I use one or two can a year.
Guest mmmouse Posted March 22, 2008 #14 Posted March 22, 2008 $3.30 a gallon and I need to add something?
1 - UP Posted March 22, 2008 #15 Posted March 22, 2008 I use one full can to a tank of gas. Once in the spring and then a can to a full tank of gas before I park it for the winter. Park for the Winter, don't understand that meaning. I just put on a long sleve shirt and go riding. I put in about a half a can once every couple of months. Ken:stirthepot:
bongobobny Posted March 22, 2008 #16 Posted March 22, 2008 I usually buy it at Autozone, but it's nice to hear you can get it a Wallyworld as well...

jbillerzippo Posted March 22, 2008 #18 Posted March 22, 2008 5.49 a can... Better stock up. I bought 2 cans today at Autozone paid 7.99
sarges46 Posted March 23, 2008 #19 Posted March 23, 2008 Thats not a bad price Chuck. I would get it here at home if it was cheaper.
86Royale Posted March 23, 2008 #20 Posted March 23, 2008 Last can I bought here in this little town was $8 and change a can. I hate Walmart, but I can't afford it here in town. Poured half a can in with fresh gas a week or so ago, runs like a champ.
Uturn Posted March 23, 2008 #21 Posted March 23, 2008 :confused24:Never used Seafoam. Is it like 1 oz to ?? gallons? I have always used Pri-G in my gas for the truck, car, boat and cycles. 1 oz to 16 gallon. So for my RSV, I generall use just over a 1/4 oz on fill-up. When I travel, I always keep the little shampoo bottles, clean them, make a 1/4 oz mark and carry 2 or 3 in my trunk for fill-ups. I buy Pri-G in 16 oz bottles (treats 256 gallon) at the marine supply stores ie, West Marine, Boater's World. MIKE aka Uturn
Guest TFD69 Posted March 23, 2008 #22 Posted March 23, 2008 Does anyone know if SeaFoam is available in Canada? Carquest carries Seafoam in Ontario for $8.00 a can
Brake Pad Posted March 24, 2008 #23 Posted March 24, 2008 Not a Dumb Question? what does it do for the bike, whats its purpose? and how much to used per fill up ? Or ever few months?
Joopster55 Posted March 24, 2008 #24 Posted March 24, 2008 Carquest carries Seafoam in Ontario for $8.00 a can Steve, your Carquest has a better price than the one I went to. $12.99 a can. But I dumped it into my RSMV, went for a ride on Saturday, and gradually the engine response was improving the longer I rode. Question I have, it states on the can that SeaFoam can also be used in with the motor oil. Has anyone here mixed it in with their oil, and if so does it improve the engine performance or is it a grab on the manufacturer to get customers to buy and use more of their product.
jneed53 Posted March 24, 2008 #25 Posted March 24, 2008 Ok -- I am gonna be ignorant and ask. "What is Seafoam and what does it do?" I have seen references to it and it's raves, but don't know what it is. Also, I can't seem to find motorcycle specific oils anywhere I go. (except, of course, the dealers) WTF?
