Angelo Posted November 18, 2014 #1 Posted November 18, 2014 Can anyone recommend a good, clean, easy to install LED Light Bar for the trunk. I just want to light up the back of the bike better than it is from the factory.
Flip Posted November 18, 2014 #2 Posted November 18, 2014 Here are some pics of the one I installed in 2013 on my 2012. Purchased from Diamond R. Part 'RSV Slimline Lightbar. Easy install. At that time it cost $54.95. One of the pics. is with my blue led's on.
Skid Posted November 18, 2014 #3 Posted November 18, 2014 One of our members here sells a plug and play on the site in the classified section. You can go to classified, members vendor, and look at M61A1MECH http://www.venturerider.org/forum/photopost/showproduct.php?product=7&title=type-2-run-2fturn-2fbrake-light-bar-for-2nd-gen-ventures&cat=18
djh3 Posted November 18, 2014 #4 Posted November 18, 2014 Have to plug Steves kit. He can also custom make one I think with run/brake and turn if I remeber rite.
Mike G in SC Posted November 18, 2014 #5 Posted November 18, 2014 Steve K sells two versions, both pretty well plug in. I got the one with the extra wires to hook up my existing trailer wiring. Mounts easily, wiring was just plug and then use his extra wires for direct replacement of mine. Degree of difficulty is,,, can you remove and install the rear seat? I already had bright red LED's for my run/turn/brake, so if you are following me,,, you see me.
Mike G in SC Posted November 18, 2014 #6 Posted November 18, 2014 Here is link to Steve's classifieds: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/photopost/showcat.php?cat=18
mirider Posted November 18, 2014 #7 Posted November 18, 2014 Have to agree with others on the unit Steve sells......quality item and plug-and-play feature. [emoji106]
XV1100SE Posted November 18, 2014 #8 Posted November 18, 2014 (edited) I went with the Rivco light bar and added a flasher to it. Rivco light bar is thinner. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?87011-Lighting-up-my-rear-end Edited November 18, 2014 by XV1100SE
etcswjoe Posted November 18, 2014 #9 Posted November 18, 2014 I have Steve's also and it works great.
ReinyRooster Posted November 18, 2014 #10 Posted November 18, 2014 Ditto on Steve's light bar. Quality product, simple installation and lights up very nicely.
Angelo Posted November 18, 2014 Author #11 Posted November 18, 2014 Looks like it's Steve's kit, but how do you order through the classifieds? Do I just send him a message?
Skid Posted November 18, 2014 #12 Posted November 18, 2014 Looks like it's Steve's kit, but how do you order through the classifieds? Do I just send him a message? Yes you can send him a private message and he can send you an invoice back. He prefers paypal, but can accept a check.

Angelo Posted November 22, 2014 Author #16 Posted November 22, 2014 You guys weren't kidding, very clean and easy install. Given, I already had the bike torn apart, but even if it was all together it would have been nearly as easy. Thanks for the recommendation and a big thank you to Steve for supplying a quality part and amazingly fast shipping.
Skid Posted November 22, 2014 #17 Posted November 22, 2014 Glad to hear everything went so easy. You will learn quickly on here before you start tearing apart your bike to work on something, ask on here first. Everyone on here will says the same thing. This site has saved us lots of money and time. Also rule #1 here is you must post pics.

I had her ripped apart to change the tires, so nothing was in the way like the seat and such.
Brake Pad Posted November 22, 2014 #19 Posted November 22, 2014 Not only does Steve Wiring but he does all types of quick connects all you have to do is ask him and he can probably make it for you the man is a guru when it comes to Wiring plug and plays
Angelo Posted November 23, 2014 Author #20 Posted November 23, 2014 Here's mine with the new lights and tires installed. My son helped me put her back together, first time he's got to do anything more than an oil change and he was pretty excited to help.
djh3 Posted November 23, 2014 #22 Posted November 23, 2014 I suppose now he will be building Goldwing stuff though.
M61A1MECH Posted November 23, 2014 #23 Posted November 23, 2014 Nope, there are to many others already doing Goldwing plug and plays for much cheaper than I can do them. Shoot I cannot even by the parts for less than what some folks are selling completed assemblies for, I need to find out where they getting their parts.
