Evan Posted November 17, 2014 #1 Posted November 17, 2014 Heard from Swifty (Dave Fast) today and I am pleased (especially as the proud owner now of his 86 VR) to post the following for him: "Swifty, the cheap bastard, is too stingy to pay his venturerider dues but he wanted me to post up what he got to replace his VR that I bought last year. They are both single cylinder engines, but the way he figures it, they are still going to allow him to move faster than some of the 2nd gen riders that he has followed around during the last 7 years. And in that regard, Swifty wants to send his thanks to "one and all". First to the "one", Freebird, for setting up the website and creating the opportunity for him to meet all these Yamaha fans and to make a few good friends along the way. And next to the "all", whom he readily admits might forever be calling him a sh!t disturbing commie, but he has never held anything against anyone and he's told me that he has never had so much fun." So, here is a picture of Swifty"s new ride: --- and here is a link to a utube video of Swifty with his other new toy that he built himself. Hope you check out the video; it's amazing and with this, he doesn't have to keep his wheels on the ground!! Have fun Swifty
cecdoo Posted November 17, 2014 #2 Posted November 17, 2014 Very Cool, I have enjoyed a few conversations with Dave, I wish him the best in his new adventures! Craig
bongobobny Posted November 17, 2014 #3 Posted November 17, 2014 Listening to the video I bet the bike and the "aircraft" sound pretty much the same...
DragonRider Posted November 18, 2014 #4 Posted November 18, 2014 Been wondering what ole Swifty was up to these days.................
mraf Posted November 18, 2014 #5 Posted November 18, 2014 Ok, he flies ahead, drops off his luggage, flies back and rides the bike to his luggage. Seems like a funny way to travel to me. All that physical running before takeoff. The 86 did it all in one trip. But thats Dave. I too was wondering what happened to him.
Eddie Posted November 18, 2014 #6 Posted November 18, 2014 Looks like a blast Dave , Fly to Dons next Spring.
