Chaharly Posted November 16, 2014 #1 Posted November 16, 2014 Okay so the he is a kid on a crotch rocket, which must make him a bad person... https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10154835842025112 what do you think
naturbar Posted November 16, 2014 #2 Posted November 16, 2014 Can't figure out what the kid did to be pulled over? The cop seemed frustrated so he picked the low hanging fruit. I have great respect for honest hard working cops but over the course of my lifetime I've seen too many cops like this one...who seem to believe they only need to enforce the laws but don't have a need to adhere to them...I.e. they are above the law. My two pennies worth...
bongobobny Posted November 16, 2014 #3 Posted November 16, 2014 What do I think?? 1. The guy has a bad attitude and brought his arrest on his self. 2. As stated, the police wanted his camera to be used in an investigation of a crime, the group that passed him. 3. The officer explained to him in a nice manner that he wanted the camera and why. 4. The rider picked a really bad place to pull over, right in the middle of traffic..
Chaharly Posted November 16, 2014 Author #4 Posted November 16, 2014 I dont feel like the kid should've been pulled over. However I also feel like the kid REALLY SHOULDN'T have flipped that cop off while he was being pulled over. But i mean getting actually arrested for an obstructed plate... that is a little over the top
BlueSky Posted November 16, 2014 #5 Posted November 16, 2014 You should read the comments posted under the video. The cop was suspended for 30 days without pay and the kid filed a lawsuit against the cop and the dept. The video only helped the cop get suspended. In my opinion the cop should have been fired. We don't need people like this enforcing the law which he clearly wasn't doing.
Chaharly Posted November 16, 2014 Author #6 Posted November 16, 2014 Im glad you pointed that out. Nice to hear that SOME disciplinary action was taken

Venturous Randy Posted November 16, 2014 #8 Posted November 16, 2014 Some more to the story. RandyA http://crimeblog.dallasnews.com/2013/04/wrongfully-arrested-motorcyclist-who-had-helmet-cam-seized-by-dallas-county-sheriffs-deputy-sues-for-1-million.html/
Hummingbird Posted November 16, 2014 #10 Posted November 16, 2014 a case of a whimpy cop afrid to pull up on a BUNCH of bikes and pulled the lone straggler over for bogus charges. I hope the kid gets all the money he's asking for. btw - I'm a firm supporter of local law enforcement. That cop was wrong
Yammer Dan Posted November 16, 2014 #11 Posted November 16, 2014 Attitude. Not enough info. I don't have much for political toadies (Sheriffs Dept.) but we don't know what was on camera that deputy saw being recorded. And he did ask. Why did he not want to let them look at it??
MikeWa Posted November 16, 2014 #12 Posted November 16, 2014 I must say I do not care for either the cop or the rider in this instance. Both were out of line. Mike
