dna9656 Posted November 10, 2014 #1 Posted November 10, 2014 (edited) Does the CMS run the timer and track the distance for blinker cancellation? Would there be a problem with the auto cancelling (from the CMS) using a LED friendly flasher in place of the OEM flasher? I think the CMS would still need to be jumpered to turn off the warnings, any one got a diagram for the jumpers? I got the battery sensor changed out to a resistor... Flyinfool Posted November 10, 2014 #2 Posted November 10, 2014 The CMS has nothing to do with the turn signals. The Turn signals and the self canceling are in a separate module that also includes the start relay. If you go to an LED friendly flasher you will loose the self canceling. this will require changes to the bikes wire harness to implement because you will want to retain the part of stock flasher that allows you to start the bike. I am still working on a way to keep the self cancle and also add a LED friendly flasher, I have not found an easy way to do this yet, so don't wait for me on this issue unless you have LOTS of time to wait. This one is not even near the top of my todo list.
dna9656 Posted November 11, 2014 Author #3 Posted November 11, 2014 What about a starter relay from a bike that has LEDs as original equipment? The Goldwing uses LEDs; is there any reason we couldn't use that starter relay? Does Yamaha NOT have a bike that has this type relay?
