MikeWa Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 So what is the best snow tire for a Venture ? Should the front and rear be different ? Mike
ragtop69gs Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 A spiked knobby on the rear and although you may question this choice, a poly ski with carbide runners on the front.
zagger Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Maybe you should think about chains. Seems like a good plan to me! http://www.thesabregroup.com/forum/get_attachment.php?webtag=THESABREGROUP&hash=7ba949f72e72cf79b789c8ce5e5f0afe&filename=Image.jpg zag

MikeWa Posted November 9, 2014 Author Posted November 9, 2014 Thanks for the link. That is what I was thinking of. Mike
dacheedah Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 we used to screw short sheet metal screws in our knobbies for snow riding. Bikes were much lighter and more responsive
midnightventure Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 As heavy as the Venture is I would go with a different bike. I have ridden bikes in the snow but I wouldn't a Venture. I have ridden the Dr and a Suzuki 500 in the snow.
Black wing Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 im running a pirelli scorpion in the front and a TW 40 in the rear. TW40 and the TW202 are the only knobbies for our first gens rear tire also do your frame a favor and give everything a healthy coat of ACF 50
