Dragonslayer Posted November 5, 2014 #1 Posted November 5, 2014 I posted an ad yesterday and went to upload pictures today and No Ad, of any kind or category? There were at least 4 parts ads in there yesterday even if I didn't upload my ad correctly. Now I don't even see the same page that allowed me to to submit a new ad. Are we gonna be able to count on the classifieds to work correctly or are we still in the DE-bugging phrase for this forum.
Freebird Posted November 5, 2014 #2 Posted November 5, 2014 You told me that it was too hard to use them. Just for you, I started completely over. Have installed an entirely new system and it should be ready to go. Give it a try.
eusa1 Posted November 5, 2014 #3 Posted November 5, 2014 look at you go man!! hey can I be a vender too?
hoochster Posted November 5, 2014 #6 Posted November 5, 2014 Well the only thing I find in the classified ads is for the trailer. I went to member vendors as well and don't see anything else there either. Am I doing something wrong or is there only 1 ad?
Freebird Posted November 5, 2014 #7 Posted November 5, 2014 No, you are doing nothing wrong. I just got it installed and people just haven't had time to post their ads yet.
Dragonslayer Posted November 7, 2014 Author #8 Posted November 7, 2014 Freebird, Thanks for your work the ad section seems more friendly HOWEVER, It won't allow me to upload my Ad, it keeps telling me that files are too large to process. I tried to re-do the ad using less pictures still no luck. How do you remove pictures on the browse buttons if you have already selected one? What am I doing wrong. Sorry for my frustration. I've been trying to get this ad placed all week and have not been able to do it. Can I just post it on the Watering Hole.... Just kidding.
Freebird Posted November 7, 2014 #9 Posted November 7, 2014 It's not a matter of how many pictures you are trying to upload but how BIG the pictures are. I increased the size limits a bit but most people take pictures that are sometimes a MB and bigger and you just can't upload pictures that large. They can't be more than 1024 in size and no more than 300,000 bytes. Do you know how to resize them? If not, email them to me and I'll do it for you. You can email them to dnelson@venturerider.org

Freebird Posted November 7, 2014 #11 Posted November 7, 2014 Just resized them and sent them back to you. Dang Bob....those pictures were also 2MB EACH. I resized them to 1024 and sent them all back. All 12 of the TOTAL were only 2.4 MB when I was done.
Dragonslayer Posted November 7, 2014 Author #12 Posted November 7, 2014 Just resized them and sent them back to you. Dang Bob....those pictures were also 2MB EACH. I resized them to 1024 and sent them all back. All 12 of the TOTAL were only 2.4 MB when I was done. But, now how do I use them as each image being an individual file instead all incorporated in the email body? Is that a dumb question? Can they be resized and sent back as individual file email attachments? I know how to work with that.
Freebird Posted November 7, 2014 #13 Posted November 7, 2014 Can't you just right click on each one and save it where you want on your computer? If not, let me know and I'll do it another way.
