On our way coming home on the interstate I was in left lane following another car that was in front of me for quite some time and we were passing 3 other cars, all in the right lane. The guy in front of me and I were both doing 70mph, (I was on cruise) and we slowly are passing. I notice a car coming up in the rear view mirror fast, real fast, gaining on me quickly. I looked to my right but there was a car next to me so I could not get over in the right lane. Next thing I know the jerk is passing me on the left side of my truck on the berm doing about 90 mph.

He passes me and he continues on the curb and passes the guy in front of me then he pulls over in the left lane ahead of us. Then he slowed down to around 70 MPH and stayed in front of us. Then we rode about a half mile and the guy slows down to about 65MPH (still in the left lane). He wont pass the car on the right and he stays this way for another half mile at least. The guy in front of me pulls over to the right lane, and I pull over in the right lane to get away from him. The guy just stays in the left lane. As we are passing him in the right lane, I notice his right hand moving all over the place as if he is yelling at someone, but no one is in the car with him. He is yelling and screaming. His face is one of those "mad as can be faces" which I see it as I pass by him.

No sooner did I get him in view in my left door mirror, he floors it and takes off and pulls away from us.. fast, faster making distance between all of us. Then we watch him as he begins swerving from lane to lane as if he wants to crash himself (suicidal-maybe?).

All of us slowed down to about 40MPH watching him. Then he just takes off and went out of site down the freeway.

Man I was glad I was in my truck and not on the bike. Things could have gone a different way......

The reason people drive like that. Diarrhea yep diarrhea. The guy has got to go so bad. Then it's to late. Finally have to get home and clean up the mess.

In the Tampa Bay area here we have had a rash of "wrong way" drivers. Mostly on the Expressways, but yesterday one on US19 a multi lane highway. 9 times out of 10 they are blitzed. but still they have killed like 6 or 8 people since the first of the year with this stupidity. HOW can you not know your going the wrong way on a one way road?

Road Rage.

In his mind you didn't get out of his way soon enough for him and he had to slow down... That's why he made both of you slow down.

You can't fix stupid.

Had a similar thing happen to me 10 yrs.? ago. Note: "whenever I get in the hammer lane l pass then get back into right hand lane." Couldn't this time as there was a vehicle in front of me.

Next thing I know there's a guy on my ass shouting and making wild gestures with his hands. I finally get into the right hand lane and his passenger is making these gun gestures with his hands and shooting his imaginary guns at me. Turn to my wife and ask: "Do you think he would be doing that if he knew I had a loaded .357 magnum in the glove box?"

It's one of the soul reasons why I will not ride my motorcycle on the highway or turnpike, I hope with the coming of the new governor of our state of Florida I hope they banned cell phone use like New Jersey has, too many distractions while driving

Banning cell phone use/texting while driving is a joke. Like drunk drivers the idiots continue with their stupid behavior. IMHO if the law required a $1000.00 Fine and 6 month suspension of license for the 1st offense the law just MIGHT deter the idiots....just a little anyway....::

I agree with Boomer on that, lots of my female friends text and drive, they see no problem with it either. I will send the occasional short message @ a stoplight, any longer than that and I will pull off to do a message. My Traverse has the onstar mirror so my phone is connected to that, beyond those options, I don't need my phone while driving. And if you call me while driving, I may or may not answer it. I don't see where the laws do anything to anyone except after an accident occurs. Then the government gets to charge fines and such to the offender. Just my 2 cents there.
