SilvrT Posted October 31, 2014 #51 Posted October 31, 2014 Scroll all the way to the bottom left of the page and select "vB4 default style" for a close approximation of the old look (blue). ahhhh... there it is! thanks!
XV1100SE Posted October 31, 2014 #52 Posted October 31, 2014 I get the same thing... SilvrT, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. Use the bookmark http://www.venturerider.org/forum/forum.php . It works.
Yama Mama Posted October 31, 2014 #53 Posted October 31, 2014 :bighug:I like the new site. It took ma a few minutes to get up the nerve to try it. It is sort of like marriage, you get used to the same thing and it is hard to adjust to something new. I am sure I will be fine with it after the honeymoon. Mama:shock3:
turtle Posted October 31, 2014 #54 Posted October 31, 2014 Great job will give me a reason to spend more time searching around. I like the look too take some time to get some rest Rome wasn't built in a day. And they did not have to deal with computers.
rbig1 Posted October 31, 2014 #55 Posted October 31, 2014 wow a lot easer to upload pictures. but you have to resize them yourself. most pic I could add. wonderful
Skid Posted October 31, 2014 #56 Posted October 31, 2014 (edited) Just takes some getting use to with the new colors, but if I have too much trouble I'll convert back to the blue. I did have some trouble getting on using Tapatalk on my iphone, but that has been resolved now. Good deal. Edited October 31, 2014 by Skid
SilvrT Posted October 31, 2014 #57 Posted October 31, 2014 Use the bookmark http://www.venturerider.org/forum/forum.php . It works. This is what I'm using... http://www.venturerider.org/forum/search.php?do=getnew&contenttype=vBForum_Post It brings me direct to New Posts.
jonesy Posted October 31, 2014 #58 Posted October 31, 2014 Is it me or did the hit next till attached pictures opened get fixed. Pictures open right when I hit them now.
stanG Posted October 31, 2014 #59 Posted October 31, 2014 So...... Is this what you would call a "second gen"? Seems perfectly fine to me, however, when it comes to the bike itself, I'll stick to the "first gen"
bongobobny Posted October 31, 2014 #60 Posted October 31, 2014 OK so far so good! Fixed my bookmark so that works now. The new site actually looks easier to read... PS how long will the post counts stay this time?? I don't believe I actually have more posts than Don!
Pegasus1300 Posted October 31, 2014 #61 Posted October 31, 2014 Thanks Kevin now I can read it and it doesn't hurt my eyes Don Thanks for all the work you put into this. It really operates nice.

Barrycuda Posted October 31, 2014 #63 Posted October 31, 2014 FREEBIRD, are you going to reinstall the tab on the bottom that says NEW POSTS, so we can recycle from the bottom of the page we were just on??
Barrycuda Posted October 31, 2014 #64 Posted October 31, 2014 Already is. At the bottom of the main forum page. Folks, there are things missing. Give me a couple of days and THEN start asking questions. Also, I know that some of the text is hard to ready. I just barely got it functional, still some style issue to work on. Ok, thanks....I don't see it yet on my end but will wait some. Don't wanna be a backseat administrator, I don't own a HD...
tz89 Posted October 31, 2014 #65 Posted October 31, 2014 This appears to be from the site host.. if you enter venturerider.org as the url, the default redirect takes you to the wrong page. Kirby Posted October 31, 2014 #66 Posted October 31, 2014 Good job Don. Thanks for all you do. Now, take the night off and get some rest!!!
Freebird Posted October 31, 2014 Author #67 Posted October 31, 2014 OK so far so good! Fixed my bookmark so that works now. The new site actually looks easier to read... PS how long will the post counts stay this time?? I don't believe I actually have more posts than Don! I may just leave them as is this time. That is a manual template edit that has to be redone everytime there is a minor site upgrade. I'm going to try and keep those to a minimum gong forward.
Guest Jarhead Biker Posted October 31, 2014 #68 Posted October 31, 2014 In most situations, I'm among the many who DON'T LIKE CHANGE! However, since I'm still a NEWBIE here, and haven't even had time to get used to the OLD site, I guess I can deal with THIS change! If there are any features that the old site had, that is missing on this site, guess that's just something all of you old fogeys will have to deal with, until those old features are built onto the new site! Of course, I HOPE EVERYONE realizes that I'm onlly being sarcastic and hornery! I've seen plenty of both of these characteristics, from several other members, in the short time I've been a member. So, just letting evryone know that I can be just as stubborn, hard-headed, hornery, and sarcastic as the best! It looks great, and seems to be functioning properly. Thanks for all the time, effort, and work that you put into it, Don. Whether you did all of it yourself, or had to have someone else do it! I already know, from reviewing a good number of past posts, that you put a great deal of all of this, into the site! I have a little bit of experience in website development/building. But, my experience is limited to a few website production software packages, and very minimal HTML coding. I know absolutely nothing about PHP, SQL, server-side programming languages, or forums. Unfortunatey, my knowedge and experience is virtually useless to help you with the issues that you've had with the updates/upgrades for the site. Thanks again for all the hard work.

Carbon_One Posted November 1, 2014 #70 Posted November 1, 2014 Would like to see the "last post" in a topic. Maybe its here but haven't found it yet?
Flyinfool Posted November 1, 2014 #71 Posted November 1, 2014 It is there for me..... You may need to make the window wider to see it.
ronnie86 Posted November 1, 2014 #72 Posted November 1, 2014 Don`t care for it...............Liked old one a lot better!
Freebird Posted November 1, 2014 Author #73 Posted November 1, 2014 I made blue the default for now until we get the red straightened out. You can click at the lower left bottom to check the red now and then to see if it's corrected yet.
Freebird Posted November 1, 2014 Author #74 Posted November 1, 2014 Don`t care for it...............Liked old one a lot better! If you are talking about the color, you can switch to blue. If you are talking about everything, sorry, we had to make the change and aren't going back.
Skid Posted November 1, 2014 #75 Posted November 1, 2014 All the new technology requires the latest upgrades, so a person can only hang on to the old ways for so long until you got to give in and get use to the new. I'm fine with it. Thanks Don for all your hard work.
