Marcarl Posted October 30, 2014 #34 Posted October 30, 2014 Wow, he made it, but left you with an empty spot,,,, that is going to take some time to get used to. In the process you will find that the Spirit of the Great Master will be with you. Another experience under the belt, and more love received. May you be blessed in the time of sorrow.

bj66 Posted October 31, 2014 #44 Posted October 31, 2014 I just went through this in September. It is a tough time that's for sure, but remember that there is strength in numbers. Especially when its family. Seven kids all there together is a great thing and a great tribute to your father in itself. Each one will have a different memory to talk about, and it will trigger more memories. Some of which you hadn't thought of in years. It puts you on the fast track to heal emotionally. Obviously this hurts a lot, but the family and memories will take away some of the sting. There are 5 kids in my family, and I couldn't imagine trying to go it alone. I'll be thinking of you and your family....Bernie
Venturous Randy Posted October 31, 2014 #45 Posted October 31, 2014 (edited) Like many have said, been there, done that. Lost my dad 14 years ago and bought the property from my siblings. I will still be out in the garage digging for something and run across something that I know my dad handled last. I feel very lucky that I always had a great relationship with my dad and it sounds like you did also. We were both blessed. RandyA Edited October 31, 2014 by Venturous Randy
