After the small realignments underneath so that nothing touched, I attached a rubber grommet to the bottoms of each leg and to make it easier for putting on the stand in the garage I put a slightly sloped piece of wood in front that I ride up on. this raises the front tire about 1/2-1" and then just put the stand down and roll back off.
