Hi,

Has anyone ever "frenched" the passing lamps into an aftermarket (make to be decided) fairing?

Cheers,

Crikey bloke! You wanna run that by us in English?

(Sounds rude to me!) :rotf:

I have not, but I'm not sure people understand what your asking. You're looking to have the driving lights mounted into the glass-work of the fairing like on the new Indian bikes.

"C" senior!

And no fairings are ABS and are not that easy to add stuff like a recessed cup for a lamp.

besides there is stuff in the fairing that could interfere with the lights.

:2cents:

Do with it what you will.

If I understand you right then you want to embed them in the aftermarket fairing like Bubber said. Well it can certainly be done. Have a look at this thread - post number 7, 11, 13 and 14 by COOP / Bob. He embedded speaker pods to his saddlebags. You could do the same with the fairing.

The couple aftermarket fairings I have delt with were fiberglass. My Reckless was fiberglass. Kind of like this?? http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTAtqKyRIKPAYTcVtBHoU3G-l2Ww6sv8Qoeg-beQvxBjBTce2RvNw

With and RSV I suppose maybe you could fit some LED smaller type lights in there.

Hi,

thanks to everyone who replied.

I would be using a fibreglass fairing and would get a surfboard maker to make any alterations; heaps of them where I live; mount on the quick release locators and get a snap connection for the electrics.

I would only want the outer skin.

cheers,
