Wizard765 Posted October 24, 2014 #1 Posted October 24, 2014 Well in the spring I bought an MM RSV from my friend Abdul. It has taken me a whole summer to actually feel like it is my bike. My 84 Blonde was sold quickly and I was torn for quite awhile about that. She was my baby for a long time and I had spent time and $$$ making her unique. Local folks have seen the new RSV while Abdul had it and some have seen it while I've had it. She came with a lot of extra$ but I took a couple of them off and added some of my own and now she is feeling like mine.. Also we have experienced a few things which also makes for a bonding time. Twice over the summer I've had charging issues (which is a longish story I won't get into at this time) one of which happened while away in PA on Vacation. All seems good now though. Got a question.. There is a large chunk of chrome on the rear of the front fender. I was curious if this is a MM thing or an add on? I'm attaching some pics because I know the rules and want to brag a little.. even got the vanity plate I wanted... Last photo has yours truly in it so ya'll can get a gander at the ugly dude that gets to ride this pretty steed
The Tooch Posted October 24, 2014 #2 Posted October 24, 2014 Looks great! But I think you should do something about the worn out rubber on the brake pedal!
XV1100SE Posted October 24, 2014 #3 Posted October 24, 2014 Bike looks great. Now if you can just clean up the rider !
Snaggletooth Posted October 24, 2014 #5 Posted October 24, 2014 Very nice Wayne. Eases the pain of parting with your blonde....a lil.
Barrycuda Posted October 25, 2014 #6 Posted October 25, 2014 The MM ventures are so crisp and nice to look at. Nice Bike ya got there...
cowpuc Posted October 25, 2014 #7 Posted October 25, 2014 Wiz!! The ONLY way this story could be better is if that gorgeous scoot were myllennium :rotf: No idea whether that chrome is stock but it looks great on there! LOVE your custom plate too!! Well done Mr. Wizard - well done..
Ace Posted October 25, 2014 #8 Posted October 25, 2014 The wider chrome trim on the rear fender was not a stock item on the MM or any other RSV for that matter. You used to be able to purchase the wide rear fender trim through Yamaha. Beautiful MM!!!!
Ace Posted October 25, 2014 #9 Posted October 25, 2014 Sorry, I re-read your post. I noticed you had the wider fender trim on both fenders. The wide trim at the back of the front fender was also not a stock item, also used to be available through Yamaha as an add-on.
Wizard765 Posted November 6, 2014 Author #12 Posted November 6, 2014 Very nice Wayne. Eases the pain of parting with your blonde....a lil. Letting the Blonde go was a VERY hard thing to do and I still miss her.. IF I had the space I would have owned two bikes..
