Godlover Posted October 24, 2014 #1 Posted October 24, 2014 I picked up an 83 Venture tonight that looks to be in pretty good shape. The guy said it needed a sparky thingy!!! Said he took it to a shop and they said it needed an ignitor box. Not sure what he was talking about but I will find out with your help! Has 41000 and got it at a good price. Said 2nd gear worked too....
Venturous Randy Posted October 24, 2014 #2 Posted October 24, 2014 Looks good. Remember, if you do need a TCI, you can either use an 83 unit or an 84 up 1st gen. If you use an 84 up, just move the vacuum pickup to the manifold instead of the carb and plug the carb port. RandyA
Prairiehammer Posted October 24, 2014 #3 Posted October 24, 2014 Looks good. Remember, if you do need a TCI, you can either use an 83 unit or an 84 up 1st gen. RandyA To clarify: you may use a an '84 through '89 TCI, 1990-1993 will not work.
