Is there any way to modify the stock muffles on an '05 RSV to get a little more rumble? Can you take out the baffle or mod it? Sorry if this has been asked before.... :whistling:

Only about 1000 times....:rotfl:I'll let the 2nd Gen experts chime in here. I put Bubs on mine. Sounds like a real motorcycle.....:whistling: but they can be drilled. Should be a thread on here somewhere for that. Or there are ways to put Hardley pipes on there.

Thanks for the info! Much appreciated! :301:

Looking at the above pic and the cut away on the thread, couldn't you just drill some holes through the end caps and accomplish the same thing? Anyone try that?

If you read through the entire thread, all your questions will be answered.

The design of the muffler is such that you have two end caps. An inner and outer. And yes you could just drill holes. But I wouldn't.

I would say the majority just find a pair of HD touring mufflers. Anything off a street glide, ultra glide. Ultra classic etc. Most times you can find them for around 20-30 bucks. Sometimes you can get a pair cheap from your local HD dealer as them guys swap them out before the title work is done. Gives it a more throaty sound with out defaning your hearing.
