Bubber Posted October 21, 2014 #1 Posted October 21, 2014 Who makes the ignition by-pass harness ? what is the benefit? precaution before failure? fix after a failure? Do you still use the key? or is it a total elimination of the key? Just planning ahead for winter. electrically illiterate
utadventure Posted October 21, 2014 #3 Posted October 21, 2014 Dion (djh3) in Florida makes them. I believe there are two versions of the by-pass. 1-complete, no longer need the key and 2-partial, still use the key but the electrical load for other electrical needs are by-passed thus relieving the stress on the key switch and reducing the possibility of key failure. I installed the second option. Everything went together very easy (plug and play) and works just as advertised. Dave
vzuden Posted October 22, 2014 #4 Posted October 22, 2014 Try this link. As stated above, plug and play
djh3 Posted October 22, 2014 #5 Posted October 22, 2014 I do make they plug and play by pass. 2 options, one is keyless and the other as mentioned reroutes the electrial load thru the relay. If you use the keyless you need to hide the switch well as if you dont need a key neither will a thief. For the most part majority of folks only need the regular by pass.
