Can someone explain the easiest/most simple method of draining old gas from both the tank and the carb bowls? Would like to get rid of the old junk in there....flush with SeaFoam and refill with clean gas.

Thank you in advance

Depends on how much fuel is still in the tank, and how long it's been sitting. I had an '83 that sat for 3 neglected years, but still had a little bit of fuel on the bottom of the tank. I just filled it with fresh fuel and a whole can of Sea Foam. Didn't drain a thing. Got her fired up and let her idle. The longer it ran the smoother it got. So you might consider going that route instead of draining everything. I doubt if there's anything in the bowls left to drain anyway....

Thanks for the input...

WELL! I pulled the hose off the inlet side of the fuel pump and flipped the petcock to RES and emptied the tank....got about 2 1/2 Gallons, mostly a yellowish color... But once I notice these little hoses (2) centered in between the carbs, kinda figured they might be float bowl drains...took an educated guess and undid a nearby screw....Viola! Look at what came out....GREEN! Green gas!I kid you not! it was green....smelled slightly like turpentine. What's up with that?! Oh yeah, #2 float chamber was empty.
