midnightrider1300 Posted October 17, 2014 #1 Posted October 17, 2014 I was sitting here wondering, I have a 2010 RSV, I have a 6CD changer that I will never use, it's still in the box.. my question is... IS there a connection that I can get that will go from 5 pin to maybe an Iphone or rca jack that i could plug in where the CD plug is? that way I could hook up the phone or MP3 and control it through the radio control???? or should just continue to use AUX and forget it....
Freebird Posted October 17, 2014 #2 Posted October 17, 2014 See if this thread helps. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=63049
MikeWa Posted October 17, 2014 #3 Posted October 17, 2014 Yes there is an MP3 player that plugs into the CD outlet. It is then controlled by the riders radio controller. Last time I checked they were out of stock. Perhaps someone can find another source. Mike http://www.venturemp3.com/
eusa1 Posted October 17, 2014 #4 Posted October 17, 2014 1BM-H81C0-V0-01 is the Yamaha part number plug and play in place of the cd player

eusa1 Posted October 18, 2014 #8 Posted October 18, 2014 and you didn't post the link? Links to adds belong in a different section, ask the boss!
djh3 Posted October 18, 2014 #9 Posted October 18, 2014 There is an aftermarket mp3 player and then that oem I pod gizmo. But the connector is some odd ball thing that aint been made in 10 years or so. I was looming around one time. I think it's called c-bus or something. But I dont be live your going to control a phone with it.
Barrycuda Posted October 18, 2014 #10 Posted October 18, 2014 Have you considered running a 3.5mm jack from the cassette input from inside the fairing and run it as long as you need/ want? Mine stopped on the L side of the handlebars and I place a sony MP3 player into it. If I remember correctly it ran off aux on the controls, but worked just as a plug and play. This way you can disconnect the CD player for more saddlebag room and not even mess with the pin connector in any fashion. The aux jack wiring gets tucked neatly inside the fairing. Possible win/ win. Just my .02 Someone correct me if I'm not 100% accurate on this
midnightrider1300 Posted October 18, 2014 Author #11 Posted October 18, 2014 i can use the AUX on the cassett and play a Mp3..or my Iphone..I want to be able to use the bikes radio control to change songs...

Mike http://www.venturemp3.com/ I e-mailed the VentureMP3 people and the response I received was they are no longer manufactured and will not be making a comeback. Mike
KeithR Posted October 18, 2014 #13 Posted October 18, 2014 (edited) I have nothing only trouble with my venturemp3 player. Not surprised they stopped making them. I think they had a good idea but the quality wasn't there. I find GPS best thing for me. Keith Edited October 18, 2014 by KeithR
