Well I got bored and did a compression check on my 99 RSV. Here are the results using my analog gauge

 

Cylinder#1 200-202 psi.

Cylinder#2 200-202 psi.

Cylinder#3 205psi.

Cylinder#4 210psi

 

Bike was luke warm idled about 3-5 minutes.

 

Thoughts and concerns welcomed! They are all well within the spec. Only concern is the one at 210 and rest were around 200-205.

Cyl #4 might have some carbon buildup on it. Check the spark plugs and see if #4 is darker. Also, the piston rings might be holding more oil creating slightly more compression, and this oil may show on the park plug as well.

All plugs looked great! I'm pretty sure like a buddy said if I squirted a little oil in it the compression would be higher but they are all within the 10% difference. I will run a little seafoam through it and run her hard. That should help with the one at 210.
