Forty years ago next Sunday my pillion-in-a-million said "I do."

So to celebrate we're going to head to the nation's capital and have a good time - all by our selves.

Three nights booked in to a luxury hotel and all the galleries, museums and theatres at our doorstep.

Should go off alright I reckon.

:bighug:

BTW - did I mention I got married on my birthday so I'd remember our anniversary?

Now let's see - - I was 23 when I married, so that makes me . . . Still young!:whistling:

Three days in DC is not near enough time to see all there is to see. When the wife and I took our granddaughter to DC I figured I could go to the air and space museum for a week and the "girls" could go see everything else. I learned that was a silly thought. A month in DC would not be enough. Also, if you drive to DC, parking is almost impossible to find. Good luck with the trip.

FYI

Spear is from Australia.

Going to his capital not ours. :rotf::doh:

Yo Bubber!

I let that one slide buddy.

And FWIW, I'm (we're) back.

We had a fantastic four days away.

Never stopped

When we arrived at our hotel there was an express parcel waiting for us at reception.

Our three kids had sent us a box of chocolates for the theatre and a fresh and crisp $100 bill to spend on our anniversary dinner - which we duly did.

Another year down and lots to go.

Gotta love life!
