I ran into this webpage while doing some research on all years Venture. I thought it was great trip down memory lane for 1stGen'rs....

I also thought it was ironic as my daughter lives in Sault St Marie, MI, and my brother lives in Kalispell MT...

Even more ironic, the last pic is long creek bridge on table rock lake just down the road from us. In 1993 I wasn't riding a street bike at that time but I do remember the rally.

Thanks Puc for making me waste $18.45! Your link took me down the Google trail to the Pigeon Forge V-Daze event of 1987 where I first discovered the Venture. Lusted for one ever since until I finally bought a ragged out 83 4 years ago. Hmmmm,,, Dixie,,, under the circumstances I gladly transfer all claims of responsibility over to Condor for causing you to waste your money... On the other hand,,, some great reading in this thread and I LOVE that buckle!!
