Eddie Posted October 6, 2014 #1 Posted October 6, 2014 Ive been looking for an old pick up for a while now, found this one a couple weeks ago. I'm going to do a frame off restore. 1964 Chevy . I found one Gary .
Eddie Posted October 6, 2014 Author #2 Posted October 6, 2014 I just noticed my partner Ozzie is in the picture, some of you have met him. Hes been my work partner for 12 years now. Man Time flys.
slowrollwv Posted October 7, 2014 #3 Posted October 7, 2014 Should be a nice truck when you are finished. I picked up an 86 Monte Carlo SS T-Top in July. I should have the interior ready to go back in next month.
Freebird Posted October 7, 2014 #4 Posted October 7, 2014 I love those old Chevy trucks. I think mine was a '66 if I remember right. It was completely restored also. Wish I had never sold it.
relic Posted October 7, 2014 #5 Posted October 7, 2014 She will be a beauty when you get it done Eddie if it looks like any of your bikes did after you customized them. Still would have loved to have had your black RSV.

Still would have loved to have had your black RSV. I hope , my original plan was a rat rod but thats kind of what it is already. Has a built 350 with an auto trans . I think they call what I want to do a custom restore. Power brakes with discs and steering and maybe A/C. Complete rewire . The list is long already. Now to find the time.

Nice truck Don, that blue is close to what Im going with. That looks like a C10 short bed. The 1960-66 were all the same I believe . Mine is a C20 Long bed.

djh3 Posted October 14, 2014 #10 Posted October 14, 2014 Had a couple T-top cars. Never again. They leak, rattle, squeak and if you decide to take out for more air flow they never seem to do the job. But if you like it cool. The only difference in those years of trucks I think revolves around the hood and grill. Pretty sure the 66 had single headlight and turn signals in hood. Coil spring rear suspension. Actually the rear suspension is what current NASCAR rear suspensions are designed off of, only with a Ford 9 inch installed.
Gary N. Posted October 14, 2014 #11 Posted October 14, 2014 Good luck Eddie. My first restoration was a '66 C20. I put a 9 1/2' camper on it and toured from coast to coast with it. They're easy to work on and parts are available.
adventurer 08 Posted October 15, 2014 #12 Posted October 15, 2014 Brothers and LMC are good places to order parts from, they have just about everything you might want.
