DAVID WHETSTONE Posted November 7, 2014 #27 Posted November 7, 2014 Check out this alarm system Model TW-1000---I placed it on my 2005 RSTD Trike and it works great. It's been on my bike for about year. You can set distance between bike and a person that comes near to it. Here is the Web Site - http://www.internatrix.com/specifications.htm David Whetstone DE
BlueSky Posted November 15, 2014 #28 Posted November 15, 2014 I wonder why you would want one? In my 190,000+ miles on my 02 RSMV nobody has ever messed with it other than to tell me how good it looks. Some parts of the country are full of thieves, southern FL for instance.
cabreco Posted November 17, 2014 #29 Posted November 17, 2014 I have disc locks, but I rarely use it because I'm afraid I will forget it's on. I do use it on overnight road trips. I did want something else that would notify me, ESPECIALLY when in hotels on road trips. I found this on Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006RBKJF2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It was easy to install, motion detector, engine cut off, & because it's 2 way no only does the siren ring, it also sends a signal to the keyfob. I did install a hidden cut off micro switch to cut power to the alarm during storage so the battery does not drain .
