DarkHorse9825 Posted September 29, 2014 #1 Posted September 29, 2014 Has anyone tried the New Mustang Regal Vintage Seat? Looks like the stock pillow top seat, but I was wondering if it offered more support?
eusa1 Posted September 29, 2014 #2 Posted September 29, 2014 did, looks fantastic, but sits too high and too forward for this guy
dave_wells Posted September 29, 2014 #3 Posted September 29, 2014 i just replace the stock seat about 2 months ago I like it jP cycles has it for 620.000 free shipping A local shop matched the price so I bought it local I does sit you forward a bit I knew that from the tour deluxe I have. It helped greatly with my tailbone pain. After about 2 weeks I settled into the seat It's nice seat it will also raise the passengers hight a little That was a good thing Robin seems to have better back support now Ride Safe ....
RedRider Posted September 29, 2014 #5 Posted September 29, 2014 For $620 you can get a custom Russell Day Long. Who would settle for a Mustang at same or more $$? RR
DarkHorse9825 Posted September 30, 2014 Author #6 Posted September 30, 2014 True. I really don't have the issue, it's my better half. She is as tall as I am 5'10" and she finds she sits too high and gets buffeted really badly. Just trying to work on a solution to make her ride better.
RedRider Posted September 30, 2014 #7 Posted September 30, 2014 Think you will find the solution in a different windshield. Unfortunately, can't really help you with that. RR
DarkHorse9825 Posted September 30, 2014 Author #8 Posted September 30, 2014 Thanks. I have the bagger shield and really don't want to part with it, but I'm thinking it will have to happen. Thanks for all the info.
JerryT Posted September 30, 2014 #9 Posted September 30, 2014 True. I really don't have the issue, it's my better half. She is as tall as I am 5'10" and she finds she sits too high and gets buffeted really badly. Just trying to work on a solution to make her ride better. If wind buff is the issue I'm not sure if new seat would help. Any adjustment to passenger seat that would raise her might make it worse. If you're happy with your seat and she likes her seat, just not the air, my suggest is new x-large / wide windshield. I like the F-4 custom. Great product and customer service. If you also decide on new seat, I would also recommend Russell Day Long. Will custom build for both of you. Not cheap but a great product.
