Gambler Posted March 18, 2008 #6 Posted March 18, 2008 Dont look for insurance in Canada , Your rates south of the border make me cry $ 799.00 for full coverage on a 2003 Gambler:crying:
Guest gordo 1965 Posted March 18, 2008 #7 Posted March 18, 2008 I have both my bikes in sured 1984 zx1100 a2 and my 1986 venture for 137.00 minnimum coverage. of course but when they quoted me for full coverage. it was not bad either.
hhoffmanlv Posted March 19, 2008 #8 Posted March 19, 2008 Thought I would try a quote from Geico , $219 posted by Cougar looked good! Mine quoted at $419 for the full coverage, with $1000 for addons and a $500 deductible.. I currently have State Farm and they seem to be close price wise.. Need to get out my policy to compare coverage.. I live in Pahrump Nv.. Rural area about 60mi west of vegas.
sarges46 Posted March 19, 2008 #9 Posted March 19, 2008 Yeppers we got cheap government insurance here in Manitoba 1000-1400 per vehicle. We have 4 vehicles!
ediddy Posted March 19, 2008 #10 Posted March 19, 2008 Hey Principal, You need to find an independent agent in your state that specializes in motorcycle insurance and get quotes. The quotes listed here don't mean a thing if they aren't for your state. Some companies are competetive in one state and the highest in another state.
loehring Posted March 19, 2008 #11 Posted March 19, 2008 I only have liability but I pay $135/year with Progressive. It's the best price I got here in Atlanta.
Bubber Posted March 19, 2008 #12 Posted March 19, 2008 Formost $213.00 full coverage and 3500.00 in extra parts included
dunvilsteev Posted September 20, 2010 #13 Posted September 20, 2010 Dont look for insurance in Canada , Your rates south of the border make me cry $ 799.00 for full coverage on a 2003 Gambler:crying: I realize that this is an old post ..... but same old problem. Two years ago I was paying $850, last years premium was $960 and now this year Elite (under Avia) want $1050, no accidents, no tickets .... any Canadian suggestions would be appreciated .... and how come they pay so cheap in the states and we only get to ride 7 months of the year???? answer me that Mr Insurance!!! grrrrr
YamaDuck Posted September 20, 2010 #14 Posted September 20, 2010 Just got full coverage on the 06 from Progressive about $240 yr. Progressive quoted me $946 per year for full coverage on two Ventures a 2000MM and a 2001 and that is with a $1000 deductible for collision and a $250 comp. deductible. Eddie Hall ediddy here on VentureRiders got me full coverage for both bikes with a $250 collision deductible and a $100 comp. deductible with $5000 accessory coverage versus $3000 for Progressive and Road Side Assistance included with none for Progressive for $348 per year (for both). A no brainer for me. Eddie got my son's insurance for $120 per year versus $207 for Progressive and it includes both of us as riders not just my son as Progressive did. It is through Dairyland.
jemorrisonjr Posted September 20, 2010 #15 Posted September 20, 2010 shop around... There is many reasons why someone has high insurance and why someone has low.... Driving record is not the only reason... credit score is also a factor in many states.. I pay $158 a year for the RSTD and $225 for the FJR.... so the price is way different everywhere and an agent CAN (but may not) give you a deal.... SHOP Around!!!!!
davecb Posted September 21, 2010 #16 Posted September 21, 2010 I just got Dairyland. Full coverage, automatic $5000.00 in accessories included. $480.00 a year. LAST WEEK I GOT A REVISED POLICY. IT LOOKED EXACTLY AS WHAT I HAD ORIGINALLY. TODAY I GOT A REFUND CHECK FOR $130.00.. for policy changes??? That makes it $350 a year for full coverage, including uninsured motorist, passenger medical, and the $5000.00 in accessories.. I switched to them cause Geico decided to double my insurance, cause my son got in a accident. They said I was driving. I set then straight, and told them to kiss my a$$... If you look at the problems Eck had with Geico...You wouldn't want them eother....
