syscrusher Posted September 28, 2014 #1 Posted September 28, 2014 Yet Another Trike I saw this today when I was at the Woodbine Applefest. It seems kind of expensive for what you get though. BTW: It sucks having to downrez photos to this extent, they look awful but a .jpg is allowed under 200K and my cell phone typically records 3.3M per photo. You can buy a lot of disk for the $150,000 this site brings in each year......... Thoroughbred Motorsports: Stallion
Freebird Posted September 28, 2014 #2 Posted September 28, 2014 Those have been around for quite a while. They look pretty cool but not my cup of tea. Your pictures look fine. I wish you were right about this site bringing in 150,000.00. If that were the case, I would be quitting my full time job. Registered members is NOT the same as supporting members. It is a small fraction of that. Very small. It would be a complete and total waste of resources to let anybody upload 3.3 meg photos. A computer is not able to display that kind of resolution. If you really feel that you need to upload such huge pictures, there are a lot of places that you can upload them and then link them from here.
Triple J Posted September 28, 2014 #3 Posted September 28, 2014 Saw 2 of these on my ride yesterday. Sorry but if you have to open doors it's a CAR. LOL
2WHEELSFORME Posted September 28, 2014 #4 Posted September 28, 2014 It is not a bike if you open doors, use a steering wheel or have more than two wheels.
bongobobny Posted September 28, 2014 #5 Posted September 28, 2014 IMHO Stallions are overpriced. I would rather have a new slingshot...

Rather than 'downrez' your too big photos, just resize them. https://imageresizer.codeplex.com/ Here is a pic that was originally 3.06mb. I resized to 731kb. Looks good to me. bongobobny Posted September 28, 2014 #7 Posted September 28, 2014 she looks good to me too...errr...nice picture!
Chaharly Posted September 28, 2014 #8 Posted September 28, 2014 Didnt the first year stallions have some terrible design flaw that they never have over looked? You have to open a door to get into the damn thing
alwrmcusn Posted September 28, 2014 #9 Posted September 28, 2014 I resize photos that I post to Facebook and other online site to 800X600. 640X480 also work well for transmission. And your computer should certainly be capable of showing those photos full size. Usually the limit is your ISP's limit on email size.
Freebird Posted September 28, 2014 #10 Posted September 28, 2014 Another issue with the large photos is that it takes longer than most people want to wait for them to download when we are trying to view them. Some have very fast Internet connections, some not so great and some members are actually still on dial-up. You get a thread with a 3 meg photo or worse yet, a number of large photos and the pages can take a LONG time to load. Many folks will say to heck with the wait and never see the pictures that you post. Not to mention the strain that it puts on a server when a number of folks are accessing those pictures at the same time. There is much more to this issue than server space.

Bob Myers Posted September 28, 2014 #12 Posted September 28, 2014 THe Stallion isn't any more expensive than a wing with a trike kit or a Venture with a kit. Either of those can cost you above 30k, and don't have an auto trans
Prairiehammer Posted September 28, 2014 #13 Posted September 28, 2014 I resize photos that I post to Facebook and other online site to 800X600. 640X480 also work well for transmission. I post 2-3mb photos to facebook without resizing. Facebook automatically resizes the big photos.
Prairiehammer Posted September 28, 2014 #14 Posted September 28, 2014 Now that is a good lookin back seat rider, ever seen her on a quarter horse? Yeah! Good looking pillion. And what made the pic even nicer was the 'driver' had his/her head turned away. Nirvana!
dacheedah Posted September 29, 2014 #15 Posted September 29, 2014 Yeah! Good looking pillion. And what made the pic even nicer was the 'driver' had his/her head turned away. Nirvana! Man, Kevhead, I know I looked away for a second,, then s n a p
Kc9ojn Posted September 29, 2014 #16 Posted September 29, 2014 LOL I just use Photo bucket direct links. They don't take up space on the site and they work great.
