BARKEEP1956 Posted September 23, 2014 #1 Posted September 23, 2014 I recently came across a pull behind trailer to go with my RSV. It is an older model Escapade. Does anybody know anything about them?

Freebird Posted September 23, 2014 #3 Posted September 23, 2014 What do you want to know about it? They are a very nice trailer. High end and expensive new. I think they are now part of the California Sidecar Company. May not have been when that one was made. Either way, they are a nice trailer. You can find the new ones at http://www.californiasidecar.com
BARKEEP1956 Posted September 23, 2014 Author #4 Posted September 23, 2014 Do you know if you can still get parts or options for them?
Freebird Posted September 23, 2014 #5 Posted September 23, 2014 No I don't. It looks very similar to what they call the Classic. I would contact them and ask. http://www.californiasidecar.com/trailers_classic.html
Guest tx2sturgis Posted September 23, 2014 #6 Posted September 23, 2014 (edited) Looks like a nice one. I prefer trailers that have a top luggage rack as this one does...I dont use it often but its great for bungee-ing a couple of fold up chairs or carrying a large box home from UPS! If you want to protect that nice finish up front, either install a mudflap on the rear of your bike or install a bra on the front of the trailer. If you dont...well...the first time you head down a newly graveled road next summer, you will not like the sound or the chipped paint! Edited September 23, 2014 by tx2sturgis
M61A1MECH Posted September 23, 2014 #8 Posted September 23, 2014 I do not know anything about that particular trailer, but when get ready to hook up the electricals, check out my ad in the classifieds, I am sure I can help you out. http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=4200&title=auxillary-tail-light-harness-for-royal-star-venture&cat=35
1rooster Posted September 24, 2014 #9 Posted September 24, 2014 Very nice trailer.I had one...http://www.motorcycletrailerstore.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=90_92,You can still get parts for them.
djh3 Posted September 24, 2014 #10 Posted September 24, 2014 I like it has the larger tires instead of the doughnut jobs.
Monty Posted September 24, 2014 #11 Posted September 24, 2014 I used to have one. Mine had alot of options. We loved it, but ended up selling it to another member here, after we bought a motorcycle camper. Kind of wish we still had it. http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/trailer006.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/trailer004.jpg http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i274/13thAFMonterey/trailer001.jpg
etcswjoe Posted September 24, 2014 #12 Posted September 24, 2014 I have the larger version in the same color Monty had and I really like it and you can still get parts through California Sidecar. The bearings are available almost any hardware or auto parts store. I rewired mine, changed everything over to LED and replaced the bearings just to be on the cautious side. So far we have pulled it about 10000 miles. 1rooster said: Very nice trailer.I had one...http://www.motorcycletrailerstore.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=90_92,You can still get parts for them. Wonder what happened to yours?
