Just received this Facebook message from my Grand Son in Iraq.

If anyone wants to work with me out here in Basra, Iraq and you have military experience message me. My employer is looking for personnel.

Basra is down south by the Saudi border. The pays excellent. David is a private security specialist. He did two tours with the army, and has been in Iraq on this new company for about three years now. He gets bored a lot, but smiles all the way to the bank....

We use to have a group of USAF aircraft mechanics that when they got out went to Saudi and worked for them. Dang good money back then in 80's. Tax free if I remember. As for me, I'm too dang old to do that and I don't think I could get a kitchen pass to boot.

Right out of high school I could not pass the physical to get into the Air Force. I doubt if I would fare any better now......

 

I had to settle for working for a military contractor making the stuff that got used on war machines.
