midnightrider1300 Posted September 19, 2014 #1 Posted September 19, 2014 I bought a used lift adapter on ebay... good shape and price was right....my question is there an easy way to put on under the bike..?
XV1100SE Posted September 19, 2014 #2 Posted September 19, 2014 Line it up, slide the rod thru... done. Make sure when you lift it...that the pads on the lift are all the way against the stop on the left side of the bike. What issue are you having with putting it on the bike?

Bert2006 Posted September 19, 2014 #4 Posted September 19, 2014 It should have come with a bar that would slide into the centerstand attachment points on the bike. As far as alignment there is really only one way that you can put it on the bike. See attached picture.
BG Hawks Posted September 19, 2014 #5 Posted September 19, 2014 As an FYI, I have to put a couple of boards under my bikes tires to get clearance for the lift. other than that, its a piece of cake! Best way to work on the bike.
djh3 Posted September 19, 2014 #6 Posted September 19, 2014 I have a board aprox 2" tall I put under the kick stand to stand the bike more upright for checking oil. I use this board and then slide the jack/adapter under mine.
aharbi Posted September 19, 2014 #7 Posted September 19, 2014 won't work if you have a center stand. The rod uses the same mounting holes.
midnightrider1300 Posted September 19, 2014 Author #8 Posted September 19, 2014 won't work if you have a center stand. The rod uses the same mounting holes. wish i had a center stand...i wouldn't worry with a lift..
Triple J Posted October 11, 2014 #9 Posted October 11, 2014 How wide are these adapters? Want to make sure my jack will work with them
EtRider Posted October 11, 2014 #10 Posted October 11, 2014 From Carbon-One classified - (The original Carbon_One lift adapter attaches to the bottom of either a "05" - "09" RSTD or a "99" - present RSV. Using this adapter allows one to use any atv/mc jack to lift your bike safely. Made of solid steel you'll have years of use for as long as you own your bike. Some Larin and Harbor Freight jacks have short lift arms (12") so if you have one of these I add a safety bar to the adapter. Do make a note in any order if this feature is required. My adapters are 12 1/2" wide so any jack with 13" lift arms or longer can be used easily. ) I just bought one and quality made- would recommend it. Just look in member classified section for info on it.
ACE50 Posted October 11, 2014 #11 Posted October 11, 2014 Mine has magnets on it. Just pop it on and lift!
