Guest BluesLover Posted March 18, 2008 #1 Posted March 18, 2008 Consider yourself lucky you don't live in Quebec City. One of my guys sent the following pictures. Snow, or no snow, we still have to work in the "crossboxes", i.e. if you can find them (you can just see the tops of one here): http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b320/BluesLover55/?action=view¤t=IMG_0001.jpg And then, you need to clear a space in order to open them: http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b320/BluesLover55/?action=view¤t=IMG_0002.jpg And with this one, you should get a sense as to how much snow they actually have: http://s22.photobucket.com/albums/b320/BluesLover55/?action=view¤t=IMG_0004.jpg They may dig themselves out of this by July ... Cheers,
Lone Eagle Posted March 18, 2008 #2 Posted March 18, 2008 Dang, that doesn't look like it could be any fun, Lou. Hang in there, bud.
Yammer Dan Posted March 18, 2008 #3 Posted March 18, 2008 70 here tomorrow if I can get some sleep might get to work on Scoot a little...
Pilot Posted March 18, 2008 #4 Posted March 18, 2008 At least your protected from the wind........:rotf::rotf:
Guest tessa c2 Posted March 18, 2008 #5 Posted March 18, 2008 see that on tv it sure doesn't look good there with the snow, we sure could use some of that, with all the snow we had in places there still isn't any run off water, in the larger sloughs the canada geese are standing in water just up to there ankles
Yama Mama Posted March 18, 2008 #6 Posted March 18, 2008 HOW DEEP WAS THE SNOW IN THE PHOTO? :snow2::snow2::snow2:MAMA
Guest BluesLover Posted March 19, 2008 #8 Posted March 19, 2008 HOW DEEP WAS THE SNOW IN THE PHOTO? :snow2::snow2::snow2:MAMA So far this year, Quebec City has received over 400 cms of snow, or just over 13 feet. Unlike some of the other locations, they haven't had much of a melt along the way, so much of the snow has stayed for the entire winter. In those pictures, I'd say you were looking at about 10 feet of snow ... Cheers,
mraf Posted March 19, 2008 #9 Posted March 19, 2008 My guess 9-10 ft. Impressive! Could harbor a lot of snow snakes.
Pyro Posted March 19, 2008 #10 Posted March 19, 2008 I had 84" (7 feet) of snow at my mail box just two weeks ago. But with some rain & some March weather creeping in, it's down to 48" (4 feet) right now. My parking space to the side of the paved driveway is turning a bit mushy. Welcome to MUD SEASON! Joe
